There were aprons at the front of the class today, most likely repurposed from the baking class they'd taught in the spring. Pinkie was sure Derek had missed all his very special aprons! (He had not.)

There were also things that looked like record players scattered around on the the desks and piles of clay to grab from. So, you could probably guess what today's class was about. No, it wasn't about reconnecting to your recently murdered lover with some sensual art making. God. Why are you so gross? Do that on your own time.

"Today we're going to make pots!" Pinkie said. She was, somehow, already covered in little flecks of clay. And glitter. There wasn't even any glitter in this part of pot-making. She had a special talent.

A terrifying, terrifying talent.

Derek was also covered in flecks of clay and glitter, but looked pretty sullen about it. So, you could take a guess how that happened. "One wheel a person. No Ghosting."

Buzz kill.

Look, even Pinkie had finally agreed that the pottery cannon wasn't a good idea. Get over it.

"I don't know what 'ghosting' is," Pinkie said, "but I will punish you severely for doing it!"

By which she meant put a rubber chicken on your head and make you sit in the corner.

As you do.

Derek raised his eyebrows at the class like he was trying to let them know that Pinkie was capable of anything. Anything. Just look at how she managed to con him into teaching with her so much! "Pick an apron. Ignore what they say."

Because they were all apparently purchased on discount from the 'Bad Innuendo Warehouse'. They were on sale. At the outlet. So they were possibly even improperly spelled.

Have fun, kids.

Today's class was back in Seattle at Parkour Visions. They were in the gym area and the reason for the location would become clear soon. There was one other different thing about class. Sam had company. Standing with him at the front of the room was a brunette woman who looked about the same age as Sam. She was toned and muscled and her hair was pulled back in a ponytail. Anyone who could pick up that sort of thing would be getting some interesting vibes from her but otherwise, she looked human.

"Morning everyone," Sam greeted. "Today, we're gonna enjoy some parkour."

He grinned at his companion. "And I'm gonna let a friend of mine take over and teach most of this class. This is Brid and she's...well, she could kick my ass, if she wanted to. Safe to say she knows what she's doing so listen to her and check out her demonstrations. She'll be around after class if you wanna talk."

Brid gave Sam a look for that one before turning back to the class. "Yeah, as Sam said, my name's Brid. Parkour's not really something I do a lot but I've done it before and I think I'm pretty good at it. For those that don't know, parkour's basically the practice of getting from point A to point B in the most efficient way possible."

To demonstrate, she turned towards a wall and took off at a faster than most normal humans speed. She jumped, planted one foot on the wall and then pushed off hard enough that she was able to reach the top of the wall with her hands and heft herself up. From there, she started talking again.

"Parkour involves vaulting, jumping, rolling, and anything else the situation might call for." With that said, Brid took a few quick steps and vaulted over the small gap between two walls, landing with her hands on the ledge and her feet on the wall. She pulled herself up. "That's a cat leap right there. There's no real trick to parkour either. You want to totally focus on what you're doing. Parkour really celebrates the freedom of movement. You wanna wear loose fitting clothes and shoes that give you a good grip. You want to maintain your balance and keep a tight control over your body."

Brid jumped off the wall again, aiming for the opposite wall about halfway down. Her feet hit it squarely and then she pushed off and into a roll that brought her back to her feet and in front of the class. She smiled. "Give it a try. Don't go leaping over gaps unless you know you're gonna make it. I'd suggest with starting to run over walls or leaping over some of the low hanging walls and doing it without stopping. Once you get the hang of it, try connecting various things and see how it goes."

Sam clapped his hands. "You heard her. Get to it!"

"I WASN'T HATCHED FROM AN EGG," Anakin exploded, holding up a copy of Jamie's puppet show from Bel's class yesterday.

Sorry, people who weren't in Bel's class and therefore had no idea what their insane teacher was babbling about...

He ran a hand through his hair and frowned. "Anyway. Today we're going back in time to an air show in 2012 because budget cutbacks have meant the local show in Maryland has been canceled for the last two years. You'll see aerial demonstrations and military equipment from several different countries. Please don't get horribly sunburned." He glanced at Joker. "Come with me: this place is extremely spread out, so I've arranged for transportation for you. The rest of you can walk. It's good for you."

Class was meeting in the computer lab today. Yes, there'd been a handwavy email. "Yo, today we're doing things a little more personalized," Kate said, by way of greeting. "And/or random. When you each get on a computer, you'll find it open on the WikiHow main page. From there, I want you to search for a how-to on something you're interested in learning about. Or, you can just click the option that gets you a random article if you can't think of anything in particular you wanna learn, because you might run into something fun that way."

Had she just pretty much revealed how she came up with over half of the class topics she used? Oh well.

"Also, if you wanna share what you learned with the class, you're totally welcome to, but it's optional if you don't want to. So, get to it, kidlets."
