Arts & Crafts with Friends, Tuesday

There were aprons at the front of the class today, most likely repurposed from the baking class they'd taught in the spring. Pinkie was sure Derek had missed all his very special aprons! (He had not.)

There were also things that looked like record players scattered around on the the desks and piles of clay to grab from. So, you could probably guess what today's class was about. No, it wasn't about reconnecting to your recently murdered lover with some sensual art making. God. Why are you so gross? Do that on your own time.

"Today we're going to make pots!" Pinkie said. She was, somehow, already covered in little flecks of clay. And glitter. There wasn't even any glitter in this part of pot-making. She had a special talent.

A terrifying, terrifying talent.

Derek was also covered in flecks of clay and glitter, but looked pretty sullen about it. So, you could take a guess how that happened. "One wheel a person. No Ghosting."

Buzz kill.

Look, even Pinkie had finally agreed that the pottery cannon wasn't a good idea. Get over it.

"I don't know what 'ghosting' is," Pinkie said, "but I will punish you severely for doing it!"

By which she meant put a rubber chicken on your head and make you sit in the corner.

As you do.

Derek raised his eyebrows at the class like he was trying to let them know that Pinkie was capable of anything. Anything. Just look at how she managed to con him into teaching with her so much! "Pick an apron. Ignore what they say."

Because they were all apparently purchased on discount from the 'Bad Innuendo Warehouse'. They were on sale. At the outlet. So they were possibly even improperly spelled.

Have fun, kids.

Nathan didn't know what Ghosting was either so he was just going to be over here...making a post. A bit of a misshapen pot but it would still work. Sort of.

"Hey, Nathan," Barry said handing over a bag which contained a tablet and a charger. "Here's the tablet I was telling you about. It's already set up with some apps and connection to the internet so you can start playing with it right away."

"Wow, you're quick," Nathan said, taking the tablet with a small but grateful smile. "Thanks. I appreciate it. Never had anything close to this nice before."

"You're welcome. Let me know if you have any questions or problems."

"I will," he said, nodding. There would probably be a lot of questions considering technology was not a talent. "Thanks again."

Yeul also had no idea what Ghosting was. Which, hopefully, would make it easy to not do it.

Her pot was slowly but surely turning into something more like a shallow bowl, but Yeul didn't mind.

Did anyone in this class actually know what Ghosting was? Because Isabelle sure didn't. But she probably would've liked it if she had, so it was best for everyone that she didn't.

Also, she could focus on her pot better. Not that that would save it from being mostly a misshapen lump.

"Fuck," Barry grumbled. "Now I'm going to have that song going through my head all day."

Ghosting sounded alarming, but no one else seemed overly bothered by it. He shrugged it off, grabbed a hunk of clay, and began slowly pinching it into a vase.

Rapunzel, continuing with the theme, also did not know what Ghosting was. But somehow she knew, instinctively, that it was probably terribly romantic.

Because Rapunzel loved tacky, romantic things, okay?

Either way, she grabbed an apron (which she was sure was meant to say 'Kiss the Cook,' because why would anyone kiss a rooster?) and set to work making a vase. Pascal, who was on her shoulder, scampered down her arm to stick his tail into the clay to make a design as she spun the vase.

Not their first pottery rodeo, you see.

Joker knew what Ghosting was, sure, but he wasn't about to do it in class. What he WAS going to do was make a pot... and then smash it back into a clay ball and make another, better one. And smash that one, too, and try again. He'd get one he was happy with, eventually.

And, of course, he brought his pet rock. "Hey, look who's a perfectionist!" Rocket whined. "Spending all that time on a POT and never even noticed my eyes are a little crooked!"

...Joker might be having a little too much fun with that thing.
