necroslacker: (so what)

Today's class was in the Danger Shop and when the students filed in, they'd find Sam at the front of the room, waiting nonchalantly. There weren't any ghosts hanging out with him right now since he'd ordered them away. Once everyone was there and ready, he got class going.

"Good morning. Welcome back. I see you're all still students and I'm still the teacher so guess the last week wasn't a dream," he said and maybe that was said deliberately. Just maybe. But, Sam moved on quickly. "Today, we're going to be heading to the beach so I hope you're all suited up like my email handwavily told you to do."

Before going further, Sam got the sim started and let it get going before he reappeared. He was in his own set of swim trunks and there were two unusual tattoos on each side of his chest. One was of a happily panda and the other of a zombified panda. It made sense...to Sam.

"Today, we're going wakeboarding. Figured with it being hot outside that we could all use the dip in the ocean," Sam told them. "For those that don't know, wakeboarding is basically when you stand on a boat and hold onto a line that connects you to a motorboat. Said motorboat zips through the water and pulls you along over waves where you can just ride smoothly or do tricks over the waves."

Sam then went through some quick safety tips and how to stand and lean on the board before it was time to get started. "A life jacket and helmet are not optional here. You wear them or you don't ride. Feel free to get going though. Enjoy and have fun!"

Pinkie was actually fairly subdued, today. She was still recovering from the entirely self-imposed trauma of unleashing herself all over the island on Saturday.

Subdued on Pinkie looked a lot like sliding her pet rock Rochelle around on the table and sighing dramatically every so often.

And when Pinkie was subdued, that meant Derek had to step up the the teaching plate. He hated stepping up to the teaching plate.

"Today we'll be trying Play-Doh," he said, eyeing Pinkie and Rochelle warily. "Which is like clay for people who can't be trusted with clay."

Oh. He went there, class.

"You're not 'sposed to eat it." Pinkie was contributing. "But you can make pretty flowers and things."

And then smash them to bits!

Hey now. That sort of attitude was reserved for grumpy werewolves. Derek picked up one if the multitude of tubes to look at it. "And it's the glittery kind. Of course," he said with a sigh.

Pinkie sniffled and blew her nose into a handkerchief. "It makes me happy!" she wailed.

Oh god, oh god. Derek was not equipped for this. "It's fine," he said quickly. Then glared at the class like they were to blame. "Just get to work."

While he calmed down a distraught pony.

If you were beginning to suspect that Anakin was going to be in a crappy mood for every single one of these classes, well, yes.

Have a pink bunny. Anakin's brought lots and still can't get to his desk in his office.

Kriffing...frelling...frakking Bel. (Yes, Anakin was falling back into high school vocabulary.)

He kicked a bunny out of his way and began. "Today we're going to be flying speeder bikes, which go up to 400 kilometers an hour and can be equipped with laser cannons. You'll be familiar with them if you were in my Try Not to Die class--we flew them on several planets." He pointed to the right hand simulation. "This one has been set up for target practice if you are comfortable with such an exercise. In this simulation, you will find yourself on a forest moon. In the left hand one, you're in a planet-wide city that makes the worst Los Angeles traffic look like a day at the beach."

He smiled--well, bared his teeth--at them. "Please don't hit a tree or a building. If you do it accidentally, there will be mocking. If you do it on purpose there will be detention. You may begin."

Class was again meeting in the Danger Shop. This week, the space was a big field of grass on top a hill, with a moderately sunny but cloudy blue sky up above. Yes, maybe they could've found something similar by actually going outdoors, but Kate liked being able to control the environment. And how warm or humid it was.

"Today, we're going to look for shapes in clouds," she announced. Yes, this was an actual class you were taking at a high school. "Basically, what we'll do is we're gonna lay down and look up at the sky and all the wonderful computer-generated clouds and try to make sense of them as familiar shapes. It jogs your creativity." Maybe. "And I guess it might strenthen your spatial reasoning, or something. Mostly, it's just fun and relaxing and I know for sure everyone needs that sometimes."

Especially people living in a haunted house, like she was vaguely aware they did.

"So, everyone, flop down. You can freestyle your shape-spotting, or you can hold up your hands and frame a part of the sky with your fingers, like you might do if you were figuring out what kind of a photograph to take. Talk about what you see. Or don't, it's up to you. Like, maybe you have a terminally filthy mind and everyone doesn't wanna hear about it. Use your brains."

With that, she moved to lay down in the grass, and pointed up at the sky.

"See, I can already totally see a corgi."
