Today's class was back in the computer lab. When the students walked in, they'd see both the computers booted up with some possibly unrecognizable program going and they'd also see a long table of disassembled computers. Riley figured they had to start with the basics before they really got into hacking.

"Morning," he said, giving them all a little salute. "Hope you guys had a good weekend and a good holiday if you did celebrate. Today, we're going to really get into the meat of the class. To be a good hacker, you have to know a little bit about computers. So, that's what we're gonna spend today on. On the computers in front of you, you'll see a program that'll help you learn one of the basic languages of computing, Python. If you're gonna hack, you gotta know how a computer works. Python's a lot easier to learn than C and it doesn't take as long either. Python is intended to be a highly readable language. It is designed to have an uncluttered visual layout, frequently using English keywords where other languages use punctuation. That's what makes it easier to learn."

He paused for a second and moved over to the table of computer parts. "Second, we're all gonna be putting together computers. Yes, this might seem more suited to a class on mechanics but if you know the bits and pieces of a computer, it'll make you a better hacker. You'll be able to visualize what you're hacking and you'll know that not all computer is built the same. I've left instructions for each computer but I'll also be around to help you out with both learning the language and the assemblage of the computers. Let's get started."

Bel had his class gather on the lawn again outside the school, though this time he took some time to scour the area and toss some fireballs at any squirrels that might be listening in. No reason to spoil the surprise for Anakin. Actually, Bel was a little surprised himself that he'd made it through the week unscathed. He wouldn't put it past Anakin to hunt him down and retaliate. Maturely, like the adults both of them were.

He handed each student a piece of paper along with a large cow-bell like object as they arrived. The papers were print-outs to the lyrics of a certain song. Coincidentally, he also had a portable CD player at his feet.

"All right, kids," he said, grinning oh so very much. "Your assignment for this week is actually going to take place tomorrow during Anakin's class. Or during his office hours if he's cleaned out what we did last week. Basically, you just need to track him down at some point between now and next Monday. You have to go up to him and sing 'Little Bunny Foo Foo' -- and don't tell me you don't know the words because I've made these lyric sheets for you just in case. After each line, you clang the bell."

He bent down to turned on the CD. "Here's some inspiration," he said, as Anakin's voice began to sing the song and clang along.

"And don't think you're just not going to do the assignment," Bel warned, not looking terribly threatening because he was still grinning like a mad man. "I'll be listening to the radio to make sure you complete the assignment. I'm not afraid to give you an F, and you really don't want that on your record, do you?"

[OOC: That class took place is definitely for broadcast, but the specifics of Bel's assignment are not. :D ]

Bond's email today had told his students to meet him down at the grassed area outside the school, and to wear clothes they didn't mind messing up. When they arrived, they would have found numerous kiddie pools filled with balloons waiting for them at various spots around the lawn.

"Good afternoon," Bond said. "Water balloons are, like the name implies, balloons filled with water which are primarily used for soaking ones opponents in a water fight. Any kind of latex balloon can be used for this, however balloons specifically designed fort his purpose tend to be smaller for ease of throwing when filled."

"A water balloon fight can be an excellent way to improve your hand-eye coordination, as well as your dodging skills. They're additionally useful for developing a balance between speed and delicacy, as picking up one with too much roughness will lead to you getting soaked instead of your opponent." Plus, you know, fun.

"I trust that I shouldn't need to explain what today's exercise is going to involve, beyond the fact that there are no set teams, you may work individually or together as the case may be." Or depending on how much you trusted someone not to balloon you in the back.
