It was the final class of the semester and while Paige could admit it had been fun, she was eager to move on and continue recovering from her ordeal at Sheol I. She'd be going back to SciLo soon after the class ended to rejoin Jax and the rest of the group. The respite had been nice but it was time to go.

"You've all been an excellent class and I hope you've learned something, whether it be large or small," she said, smiling at the class. "You've made my lack of teaching experience a little less noticeable then it would be in other places. Thank you. For your final class, we're just going to talk a bit. Nothing huge, nothing that I'm going to grade or anything like that."

She leaned against the desk. "We've talked about a variety of different things in this class. Frightening things, things that are oftentimes misjudged, and things that the average individual either doesn't believe in or has been influenced to hate. So, my question for you is this: do people have a right to fear the supernatural? Should they be educated or allowed to live with their knowledge? Do you fear things that you don't know? Feel free to answer, the floor is open."

With that, Paige stepped aside and let the students talk, if they so wished.

Kaidan hadn't bothered to stop by home on his way to class: it'd been out the portal and up to the school. He'd acquired a fresh new uniform at Alliance HQ; his bags, he'd dropped near his desk and kicked underneath.

"Hey," he said. "We've... been through a lot these past couple of months. Some of it in class, a lot of it... outside of class. I figure you've all been run through your paces enough that I don't need to see a direct demonstration, but the obstacle course is open for anyone who needs it."

"What I want you to do today is demonstrate how you've changed," he continued. "Whether that be by showing off on the range, telling the class, or writing me an essay. You've got options. Hell, if anyone here wants to lead the final physical session, be my guest. Today isn't about scoring grades. It's about seeing how far we've come."

If you thought you were getting out of Anakin Kriffing Skywalker's class without an examination, you were sadly, sadly mistaken. "There are four essay questions," he said, passing out the papers, "and then one practical examination question. Please don't hurt yourself too badly. I don't want to have to explain it to your parents, and the paperwork for this sort of thing is completely ridiculous."

He glanced up when he was finished passing everything out. "You have been an adequate group of students when you bother to listen. You will probably not die horribly."

...and thank you, Anakin.

"Well, this is our last class," Jess began once the bell rang. "And thanks for being great, even when things were totally crazy. Anyway, today's your final and you're going to do a little bit of work for it. It is an essay- sorry. I want you to tell me two thing: what was your favorite book that we read this semester, and which was your least favorite, and why. Be as thorough as you can with the answer, since this is going to count for a big part of your grade. Just do the best you can."

And then she added, "I believe in you!" Totally seriously. She really did believe in you, kids. You just go and own that final.

Today the Danger Shop was set up as a large practice space with a number of different stations set up around the room.

"Good afternoon," Bond said. "We've come to the end of our time together, which means it's time for your finals. Now, since it would be unreasonable of me to expect you to have gained proficiency in all of the weapons we've covered over the last few months, instead your final is going to involve some flexibility. I would like each of you to demonstrate what you've learnt with which item you feel you've gained the most skill with. Accordingly there are ranges for those wishing to take the final with ranged weapons, dummies and generated sparring partners for more up close fighting. Those of you feel sufficiently knowledgeable may also go up against either a willing classmate, or myself for an extra challenge."
