"Doom cannot be here today," a Doombot said from the front of the lab. "Much more pressing matters have stolen his attention for the time being. And so today, you will watch a television show that explains the limited, but still reasonably sophisticated view of space this planet had in the 1970s. It is called Cosmos. Watch it or be destroyed."

The Doombot paused. "Get detention. Not destroyed."

The Danger Shop today was programmed to look like a vast field. Standing next to Thor was a large boar wearing... a saddle?

"This," Thor gestured to the boar, "is Hildisvíni, the Battle Swine. As the name might imply, he is ridden in to battle by the Asgardian known to your people as the goddess of the hunt, Freyja. Hildisvíni is known for being unstoppable once he begins to charge. Today, your task is to ride him for as far as you can."

He... was not mentioning the part regarding the rumours that the boar was Freyja's lover transformed. Nope.

Teamwork, Monday, 12/02

Jack passed out a quiz at the start of class. "Fill 'em in," she said. "I don't wanna ruin the scores by telling you what the results mean ahead of time."

Once everyone had completed the tests and she'd scored them, she began talking again. "So there are a couple major roles in any group," she said. "The encourager is the rah-rah type. The compromiser keeps everybody getting along. The leader directs the project. The summariser is the one who wraps up everything in a bow and says, okay, this is what we decided, everybody cool with it?. The ideas person comes up with new stuff to try. The evaluator is the objective one who stops everybody else from heading off into crazytown. And the recorder takes notes and keeps the group focused. Most people are stronger in a couple ares and weaker in others. Like, I'm a good ideas person, but probably not who you want as a compromiser."

Anger Management and Emotional Control | Monday | Period 1

"Hello," Bruce greeted the class in the hallway that led to the Danger Shop. "I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a pleasant one.  Or a tolerable one, at least."

He swung his arms purposefully. "Last week I was a substitute teacher for a class called Breaking Things, and it reminded me of a means of anger management I hadn't conceived of as being productive. But since we can work with simulations, that's not an issue for us. However, I want to remind you that destruction in the real world usually has consequences, and it's one of the anger outlets that we're trying to avoid resorting to."

With that, he opened the door to the Danger Shop, revealing a round room lined with shelves of glass objects, with a large, deep pit in the middle of the floor.

"Please don't throw anything at your classmates," he said, hopefully unnecessarily. "Otherwise, it's all yours."
