By the time Cassidy made it safely to the library from the campground, she was shaking so hard she dropped her keys a time or two before she finally got the doors open and rushed in. Once she realized she was safely inside, she dropped down into a the nearest chair and did her best to calm down.

Not only could she not hear a damn thing -- and that was more than a little terrifying -- there were things out there attacking people. She had managed to hurt a couple enough with her Craft to get to the library, but she was still scared to death over what was going on and why she couldn't hear. There were a few people she would have loved to call, but she wouldn't have been able to hear them over the phone and the two that she knew she could connect to with her mental voice were out of range back in Kaeleer and Terrielle.

So here was a red haired witchling, scared and confused, who was going immediately into research mode.

The library was open.
