Sam was back at the front of the class again this week, looking nice and human and no longer canine. He still occasionally scratched the skin behind his ears though. Thanks, island.

"So, by now you've probably all figured out that the people in Fandom can come from very different places, with very different kinds of religions," he said. "Every religion has their own God, or maybe even multiple gods and goddesses, but not all of them are benevolent to their followers. Pagan gods in particular can be really capricious, even to the people who are most devoted to them. Zeus fathered a ridiculous amount of children with immortal and mortal women alike, and there are multiple trickster gods out there who love to give people exactly what they want, but in the way they least want it. Now, I was going to have you guys research different gods, but that idea got shut down." See, Dean could be the nice teacher every once in a while! "So instead, we're going to watch a movie which, while cute and musical, still gives you some idea of what these gods are like."

The students were in the Danger Shop today, where they were in what looked like a small park. Also, the bamfs were back, and poking their heads out occasionally before showing up near their pet-owners for class purposes.

"Hey, everyone. Sorry I missed last week, but I kind of got eaten by a locker? Yeah, so in case you didn't know, you can get eaten by a locker," Kitty greeted them. "Be aware. Anyway, thanks to Gert for helping out, and this week we're going to talk about communication with your pets. It's really easy to say you want this or that, and if you're in a loud room or whatever, you can gesture to get your point across and the other person can figure it out. But without human speech, or in a lot of cases, hands, it gets a lot harder for your pet to tell you what they need.

"So this week, your bamf has been programmed with one specific thing they need you to figure out. Your job is to decipher what they're telling you, and to fix the problem. The longer you go without giving them what they want, the more rambunctious they're gonna get, so there's that."

See, that. That was why it was easy for Kitty's teammates to complain when she programmed the Danger Shop for their training sessions.
