Welcome to first period on the first day of sex pollen week! No, Jaye hadn't figured it out yet. With that in mind, sorry.

"I'd say happy Monday, but I think anyone who says that unironically needs to be slapped," Jaye said. And not in the dirty way. "So, here's a movie about a guy who... uh. Gives stuff up for Lent and it sucks." Well, for some reason today she didn't want to be saying the s-e-x word in front of teenagers. Though apparently she had no problem showing them a movie about it. "Happy belated Easter."

She was just going to go back to her seat now.

If Jaina had known what was going to happen this week- or if she'd clued in more than vaguely knowing something was up- the students would have a class in the Danger Shop. In the open. And it wouldn't be a team effort. Instead, they were back in the flight shed this week.

"So if you're flying, every once in a while you're going to run into a situation where you need to work with others," Jaina began. "It'll happen if you need instructions, if you're working in tandem with another person, if you're part of a squadron, whatever. So today we're going to run through a simulation from before my time, the Battle of Hoth. You're flying two-person snowspeeders, with a pilot facing the front and working the turbolasers, and a cargo manager facing the back, working with the harpoon and tow cables. Your job is to work together to defend a power generator against the enemy. Try not to fake kill anyone but them."

"Near closing time on March 25th, 1911, a fire broke out at the Triangle Waist Factory in New York City. Within 18 minutes, 146 people were dead as a result of the fire," Ghanima started off today. "Firefighters arrived at the scene, but their ladders weren’t tall enough to reach the upper floors of the 10-story building. Trapped inside because the owners had locked the fire escape exit doors, workers jumped to their deaths."

I would be a traitor to these poor burned bodies if I came here to talk good fellowship. We have tried you good people of the public and we have found you wanting.... We have tried you citizens; we are trying you now, and you have a couple of dollars for the sorrowing mothers, brothers and sisters by way of a charity gift. But every time the workers come out in the only way they know to protest against conditions which are unbearable the strong hand of the law is allowed to press down heavily upon us. )

"Yet despite all this, even today, sweatshops have not disappeared in the United States. They keep attracting workers in desperate need of employment and undocumented immigrants, who may be anxious to avoid involvement with governmental agencies. Recent studies conducted by the U.S. Department of Labor found that 67% of Los Angeles garment factories and 63% of New York garment factories violate minimum wage and overtime laws. According to a study done by Cornell University in 2011, ninety-eight percent of Los Angeles garment factories have workplace health and safety problems serious enough to lead to severe injuries or death. For all the steps taken towards an egalitarian feminism to empower all women, immigrants still do not see many of the benefits that their predecessors have worked so hard for."

Last time the sex pollen had hit, William had been far too oblivious to anything but SCIENCE to notice. This time... well, he had noticed himself feeling a bit, shall we say, hot under the collar.

Hence the literal tugging on said collar every so often.

In addition, restocking the shelves was more difficult than usual due to some sort of problem with his depth perception. After a few unsuccessful attempts, William figured out what was going on and devised a way to compensate, so at least he could get the work done.
