Class was back in the Danger Shop this week. Which was set up with a number of different areas. There was a wardrobe and changing room, crash mats and sparring dummies, and another, smaller, free-running course, well as various other items.

"Good afternoon, class, I'd be much obliged if you could all refrain on commenting on last week's...last week," Bond began. "This week will be focused on revision over what you've been studying this semester, so please take the time to work on any of the skills you may feel you need more practice with, or to go over any questions you may still have."

"Today," Yakko said, "we study the most important place to you on Earth. We're going to talk about here."

"Here can be anywhere as long as you're there. Right now, here is in this classroom. Later on, here might be your dorm room. That would be here now if we were having a room party instead of a lecture, but none of you invited me there, so you're all stuck here."

"Or we can get all metaphysical here, because it can be a state of mind. Here, I'm a teacher and an icon from the 90s reminding people of their youths. Here, you're students trying to make your way in the world and probably have your own drama."

"Here you are in a time and a place, here can be your mental space. Here is where we all are, but to you you're still here even if you've gone very far. It follows you around all day and all night, you can't escape it by car or by flight. Someone might tell you you're there, not here, but you know better, like you're a seer. Just remember this and you'll never be lost, even if you can't remember what roads you crossed. Wherever you stand, here you are. Now work on an essay... WORK! How bizarre! Grab a pen and paper and start to write, about where your here is, any answer's alright. Describe your here in a page or two, using words or pictures.... Well, anywhoo. Get started on your papers and get them done. And then after that, we can have some fun."

At the end of that Seussian dialogue,Yakko set up a countdown clock listing "COUNTDOWN TO FUN!" that would tick off as people finished.

The good news was that this week, the room smelled like fresh, tasty cookies! But, they were in basket held by Sarah. Who was, in fact, in black and white. And wearing a modest dress, and white gloves. And she was smiling. Sincerely!

Were you terrified yet?

"Hello, sweethearts," she cooed. "Since I am told you are all such good students, I thought you would all deserve a little treat. So I brought you some cookies, fresh from the oven this morning." She handed the basket over to a random student who happened to be the nearest. "Here, be a dear and pass these around, sweetie. One for each!"

Satisfied with having played her part for the well-being of their young minds, she then took a seat off to the side, smoothing out her dress before settling down to watch the proceedings. Of course she wasn't teaching. Goodness, no, her housework took up far too much of her time. But she thought she could spare a moment to listen in.

So, now it was Sparkle's turn. Sparkle who, next to Sarah, looked positively vibrant, for all that he was still dressed in his typical black and grey motif. And he was smirking as he took a bite of a cookie, perching himself on a stool at the front of the room.

"Hey, cats and kittens," he crooned, making a point to drag out that 'hey.' "Why all this worrying about where you're going to go in the future, anyhow? Why not take a moment to just sit back, relax, and reflect on where you are. That's your assignment for the day, by the way. I want you all to pick up your pens and write us some totally hep poetry about where you're at, dig?"

No, he hadn't been infected with the 50's bug yet. Yes, he was, in fact, trolling the lot of you and doing it with a grin on his face. So what? You get off the hook for research today. Isn't that ... uh ... supermurgitroid?

There was a black and white kid in a black and white suit working in the library today. He bustled about getting his work done efficiently and with a smile on his face, just happy to be able to go to school in a place with a library that was this fantastic. And when the books acted up today, a bunch of vintage motorcycle magazines getting into a scuffle that left them dog-eared and worn, he just sighed, scolded the lot of them, and then set to work patiently smoothing out the creases in the pages.

This, of course, wasn't any different from any other Thursday. Evan still hadn't noticed that anything was amiss around the school. He was a tiny bit too antisocial for that sort of thing.

April was still normal at least until a be50'sed post went up so she could get contaminated, which meant business as usual in class today. Which meant basically there was nothing going on.

Well, almost nothing, because there was a pile of board games in the middle of the room and pillows all over the floor instead of desks or chairs.

April just shrugged. "Week before finals."

So... have fun, kids.

Thor was... well, 'normal' perhaps wasn't the word. Typical, on a scale of Thor, maybe?

"My apologies for not being here last week," he started off with. His teenage self had decided an expedition to Alfheim was clearly a productive way of spending his time.

"As this is our last formal class, I invite you to spend it on preparation for the performance next week. I'm told some advertisment might be wise, and there are set pieces to be made. Or you could run your lines. And of course, if you have any questions, I shall be pleased to answer them."
