Today in the Danger Shop, there was no special setup at all. There was no obstacle course, there were no creeping enemies, there wasn't anything but the bare walls, the two leaders, and the control panel that they were standing at.

"I tried to program wolves in today," Evan said, by way of somewhat stymied greeting, "and it gave me stuffed puppies. And then I tried for a giant ape like in the movies and I got a soggy bag of shoelaces and I don't even know how that works. So I went for an arena and had to swim back to the panel because it stuck us in a giant fishbowl complete with those creepy bubble-eyed goldfish and I'm pretty sure this thing hates me."

He stepped back from the controls in order to demonstrate his point further. Evan was going no-touchie on this thing today.

"And Billy didn't have better luck, so today's on you guys. You each get a crack at the control panel, and we can all use our powers to play through each other's scenarios, for better or for worse. It might take all of us to get back to the panel to shut it off, if the Danger Shop is feeling moody this afternoon."

"Armistice day was earlier this week," Jaime informed the class. "And, while where I am from we don't have any particular celebrations for old soldiers beyond something for the Warrior, how could I deny this little celebration to you all?"

With a movie.

Hell yeah. Aren't you all thrilled to watch a movie about how awesome the Americans were at escaping?

"So, relax and enjoy."

"So we spend a lot of time in the United Nations talking about the sad, dark, gloomy stuff. Which is important! That stuff needs to be solved, and the United Nations is all about problem solving! But isn't the happy, sunshiny, fun stuff important, too?

"Today, instead of arguing about the gloomy, I want to celebrate the fun! Let's talk about some nice stuff that's happening around the worlds. Right now back home in Equestria, for instance, ponies all over are preparing for their annual Hearth's Warming Eve pageants, celebrating how ponies discovered the true power of friendship and kindness even in the middle of dark, cold, angry times. And right here in Fandom, friends will be getting together tonight to have a drink and talk and share their weeks with each other! Isn't that nice?

"I want each of you to tell us one nice thing that's happening in your world, or this world, or some other world, or even your own personal world. You can tell more than one nice thing if you like, too, but let's all be happy today! Yay!"

The library had apparently taken upon itself the duty of teaching Sholeh about all the major American holidays. Which meant that this week, there was a pile of magazines on the circulation desk waiting for her perusal. But rather than explaining anything about the holidays, all these magazines did was showcase delicious meals and gourd-based decorations, with said decorations arranged tastefully around more delicious meals.

She really was going to insist that the books find her more historical and cultural books in a minute, but, wow, did those dinners look amazing...

And great. Now she was hungry.
