Just inside the Danger Shop today there were two equipment bins, one filled with safety masks, the other holding a number of blue and yellow bands. However Bond was nowhere in sight when his class actually entered the simulation proper. Instead there was a note. Oh, and a run-down urban landscape, but what was more important was the note. Which hopefully someone was brave enough to pick up and read to the rest of the class.

Sometimes the value in not being seen isn't just a good mark, but the difference between life and death.

Or just not getting paint all over your clothes.

As if to punctuate the note, a splatter of bright red paint suddenly appeared on it. Apparently they were going to have a practical midterm. Of course they were also going to need to find weapons first.

"I'm sorry, everyone," Yakko said, very somberly. "I have very bad news. We won't be having one of our normal lessons today. Instead, we're going to watch a movie. I know, I know, there's nothing students hate more than having to watch something entertaining instead of being taught something actually educational, but it's the price you pay sometimes. And even worse? The only reason we're watching it is because it has the word 'World' in the title."

"But, in order to broaden your knowledge, we won't be watching it in English. Helloooooooooo, German dubbing!"

Yakko flicked the lights off, started the movie, and started constructing a car just in case he needed to zoom off to get some treasure like in the movie. People were welcome to help with that, especially if it distracted them from their 50 year old movie with German dubbing.

Today class was meeting not in the usual drama room, but outside, in the park, as they'd been handwavily informed earlier.

Why were they meeting in the park?

"Greetings, class!" Thor bellowed. "Today we are going to look at the works of a certain notable Midgardian playwright, and I have been informed that he is best studied in the out-of-doors." Or he'd taken a witty quip delivered by one Tony Stark as fact. One of those.

"To that end I have supplied several speeches this man has written for the various fictional characters in his works. Please choose one! After some time, I would like for you to present to your classmates. Don't worry, I would not ask you to memorize your piece- you may keep the script with you as you perform!"

"Next week is the break, so we shall have no class, as you will be off adventuring in the far-off land of Africa. However! When we return we shall begin looking at our final presentation in earnest."

"Last week we talked about nonviolent resistance," Magneto began as the bell rang. "There seems to be a misunderstanding about this particular practice. It's not just about sitting in a park imbibing hallucinogenic substances and singing folk songs. In some cases it's far from that."

Magneto snapped his fingers and the projector turned on displaying an image of a man with remarkable bravery.

"Often times it means risking your life and facing insurmountable odds."

Magneto snapped his fingers again displaying another image.

"Other times it means facing authority and getting detained for your beliefs. In some cases..."

Magneto snapped his fingers a final time and the projector turned off.

"It could mean physical harm. Or death. And through it all the non-violent protester must sit and offer passive resistance. Their weapons are words. But the essence of their actions is to let whatever harm or action fall upon them in the vain hope that someone will see that their actions are wrong."

"Today we are going to watch a historical film," Magneto continued as he walked around the room. "About the most famous practitioner of passive resistance. Please take notes. This will be on the final exam."

And with one dramatic gesture from Magneto, the lights turned off and the movie began.

Sorry. Magneto did not provide popcorn. Suffer.
