How to Not Be a TA, Thursday, Period One
It took a couple of minutes for Maeby to look up from her GameBoy and realize that April wasn't there. And a couple more for her to remember that she was the TA, which meant she was supposed to, you know, do something about that.
Ugh.
Reluctantly, she set down the GameBoy and took her spot at the teacher's desk.
"Right, so, I dunno, it looks like she's not here," she explained helpfully. "So ... do whatever you want."
Her phone rang, and she clicked it off. She'd been ducking Mort's calls for the last two days. No, she didn't know how to fix the script. She didn't see why that was her job. She was a producer, not a script supervisor.
Oh, look, an idea struck. And then Maeby was out of her seat, scribbling frantically on the chalkboard.
"New plan," she said. "I just found April's notes for what she wanted us to do today, and it's something to do with this shit. Ideas about creative projects that hit a stumbling block. She wants us to have a discussion, or you can just write down answers and pass them in. Who knows why. I'm just the TA, here."
Time for a good old-fashioned focus group.
