When the members of the Junior Achievers club assembled in the Danger Shop today, they'd probably notice that the room was already set up with some manner of destruction in mind. Or, at least, some sort of physical exertion. There were a few moddable targets set up, some with backings of straw, and others of brick. There was also an obstacle course of sorts set up, mostly consisting of hurdles, some decidedly taller than an average person even stood.

Evan was one of the two boys who was standing in front of the course, looking anxious to get started, and maybe a little nervous.

"Hi, everyone," he greeted, once it looked like people had settled in, "welcome to the Junior Achievers Club! Which is kind of just a fancy," if ambitious, "title for 'people with powers who want some training with them' club. This week we're going to try to keep things pretty simple, since we don't really know what we're working with yet, but we hope that will change soon so that we can really start exploring our full potential!"

"We decided to meet here in the Danger Shop so that no one has to worry about taking things too far, or getting hurt," Billy said, looking enthusiastic enough to cover everyone in the room. "We figured we'd do the introduction thing today, since it's our first meeting and everyone might not know everyone else. If you want to talk about what you can do, you totally can, and if you'd prefer not to, that's all right too. Then, the course is yours, to practice or test yourself or show off, whatever you want."

"Feel free to go a little crazy on the course," Evan added, smiling and bouncing on his toes just a tiny bit as he started to get into the spirit of the club. "Since we're in the Danger Shop, it can just re-build anything that you might break, and if you want anything in particular added so that you can practice, we can arrange for that to happen, too. We want to give everyone a chance to participate, no matter what your powers are!"

"Welcome back again, everypony!" Pinkie greeted when it was time for class to start. "Let's dive right in, shall we?

"This week, I want to know about one of your country's industries. For instance, the pegasus ponies produce all the weather for all of Equestria, and plan the schedule for how it rains or snows and when the sun comes out. It's very important work, and the pegasus ponies are all very proud of what they do for the rest of us. Now, how about you?" She pointed to one of the students.

Once that was discussed, Pinkie moved on to the diplomatic question of the week. "Crisis!" she cried. "The nations of the Caribbean have been invaded by pirates! Should we help them out? What can we do?!"

Yep, she was flailing. Over pirates in the Caribbean. This should be interesting.

Sholeh had been embarrassed to wake up last week and realize that she'd napped through her entire shift (AND Ulrik's visit) and swore up and down that she would not be doing the same today. It helped that she was feeling a lot better this week, but still--library shifts were for working, not sleeping!

Coming in today, she realized that even if she were exhausted she wouldn't have been able to sleep through her shift. Pirates--or, rather, books about pirates--were attacking the library. There was a naval battle going on in the history shelves, complete with what sounded like cannon fire. Many of the art books that had illustrated famous treasures were missing from their shelves and atlases lay scattered around the floor, many with X's on certain pages. And the section about tropical islands smelled so much like rum, Sholeh almost thought she'd discovered a nest of squirrels.

She was just going to let them have their fun today, but any book caught attempting to scale the circulation desk was getting summarily tossed overboard.

After the bell rang, the lights in the classroom dimmed until two spotlights flicked on and started darting around the front of the classroom.

"Ladies and gentlemen," an announcer said. "It's time once again for YAKKO WARNER'S BELIEVE IT OR DON'T, SEE IF I CARE! Here's your host, Yakko Warner!"

Yakko opened the classroom door as the spotlights found him, walking toward the podium in the front of the room with his hands clasped together in thanks and anticipation. Once he reached the podium, the lights came back on.

"Thank you, Johnny!" Yakko said. "Longtime viewers might remember how our game is played, but for anyone who's new to Believe It Or Don't, See If I Care, I'm going to read off a bunch of facts on a subject. Once I do, you vote on whether you believe what I said, or if you don't. And then you can go ahead and see if I care whether or not you think I'd lie to you."

For the record, he would absolutely lie. And he didn't really care.

"The topic for today's show is... Australia! So let's get to it and... SEE IF I CARE!"

This was going to go well.
