"Family," Oz began, leaning back against his desk. "It's a wonderful thing, and I'm sure you're all excited to see your visitors this weekend. I know I am." Which was why he'd instituted a remote lock-down on Contra's offices once all his employees had arrived this morning, no surprises for him.

"But the funny thing with family is that they tend to have a different view of our actions to most other people, so if there is anything that you would like me not to tell them, now's the time to let me know, there's a box next to the door you can leave a note with the gory details. I'll shred everything come Monday."

"Now go on, get out of here. It's not like you'll be able to focus, anyway."

Bod was still shaken from the events of yesterday. He'd expected Silas, if anyone, and he'd gotten someone he'd never expected to see again. And now, as a new day had dawned, he was realizing that it hadn't been a dream. Scarlett was here and, in fact, she was standing beside him behind the circulation desk, looking over the books he was checking in. She asked a question every so often and Bod asked questions of her as well but it was mostly quiet.

Bod still wasn't sure what to think of all this and he wasn't sure if he was ready to forgive and forget. As a text buzzed on his phone, Bod realized he probably wasn't going to have a lot of time to think on that whole issue. It was Kate's birthday and he had both gifts and kisses to give her as well as a...surprise she probably wouldn't really like.
