Today the danger shop had been transformed into a convention center. Specifically a convention center that at one point held a job fair but got invaded by zombies.

Yes. There are zombies in suits in the convention center still holding resumes. Hey, it's a tough job market. Even for zombies.

"Hey guys," Columbus said with a small bounce on the balls of his feet. "Today's our last class and I wanted to leave you with an alternative method for dealing with Zombies. It's not one I would choose personally but I have known one person who used this method effectively. It's camouflage."

And with a press of a button... A costume and makeup area appeared. Nope. No block letters today.

"Your goal today is to dress and then act like a zombie," Columbus said motioning to the make up station. "If you pass yourself off? Great. If not... well you've learned enough rules from me to know what to do. All right? Let's give it a shot."

Bond had sent his class an email to met him in the Danger Shop this morning and to wear clothes which were comfortable to move in and a decent set of trainers. That last one might have been both bolded and underlined for the benefit of certain members of the class.

The Danger Shop itself was set up to represent a section of the abandoned warehouse district. More specifically, the rooftops. "Good morning, class," Bond began once they'd all arrived. "The art of Parkour and the related discipline of freerunning, is a way of moving through space and around obstacles in the most efficient way possible. When done by an experienced practitioner, it is both useful and extremely badass to watch." Also incredibly frustrating if you happened to be trying to apprehend someone engaging in it.

"While it would be impossible learn in a single class, we can at least get a grasp of the essentials, and attempt to put them into practice in here." He went on to explain and demonstrate some of basic techniques.

"Good morning, class," Anakin said, sweeping into the classroom and taking up his usual position of leaning against his desk at the front. "Today we learn about Immanuel Kant," he began, gesturing to the TAs to hand out information on the man. "He was an influential German philosopher on this planet several hundred years ago who thought every action should have pure intention behind it; otherwise it was meaningless. He did not necessarily believe that the final result was the most important aspect of an action, but that how the person felt while carrying out the action was the time at which value was set to the result."

In his mind, Anakin could hear Obi-Wan nattering on about how many of the truths people cling to depending upon their point of view. He shook his head to clear it and continued. "In other words, it's not the results that make something moral but why you made that decision, and Kant believed that only decisions made purely out of duty have moral worth. For instance, Kant spoke of a shopkeeper who passed up the chance to shortchange a customer only because his business might suffer if other customers found out.  According to Kant, the shopkeeper’s action had no moral worth because he did the right thing for the wrong reason."

He paced the room. "What do you think of Kant's conclusion? Is he being too hard on that shopkeeper? What of people who are in the habit of being good without thinking? Is that being moral, or just being conditioned to interact correctly with society?"

Despite how disastrously their conversation had ended, Rinoa's father was just obstinate enough to show up this weekend. That meant that she needed to be prepared.

If anyone needed Rinoa, she would be doing important research. Research on the Sorceress War as it related to Galbadia's invasion of Timber, and how and why the occupation had continued. And similar circumstances in this world and others, and how to best negotiate for an invading country to withdraw from an unlawful occupation of a former sovereign entity.

She was taking a lot of notes, and was possibly distracted, but she was here to help if anyone needed it.

Class today was in the woods. Well, in the Danger Shop set up to look like them, anyway. And not old woods with massive trees and good sight lines around the trunks. Oh, no. These woods were young. The trees were tall enough to provide cover, but hadn’t gotten big enough to cut off sunlight near the ground. And that meant a huge tangle of vines, shrubs, bushes, and smaller trees. That meant that you couldn’t see very far at all.

And while Max wasn’t anywhere to be seen, his sudden voice was certainly loud enough. “Camouflage,” he boomed. “The art of concealment. Whatever you want to call it. While it’s hard to actually move an entire army around without being spotted doing it, proper understanding of camouflage can let you keep the size of that army from being obvious, and with smaller groups it does become possible to move around undetected.”

The key to camouflage is tricking the eye... )

That wasn’t a very reassuring grin, Max. “Good luck.”

Today's class was in the danger room but there doesn't appear to be a reason why. In fact there is only one Jamie Madrox standing in front of the class today looking rather subdued.

"Today's class... is simple," Jamie declared. "Today's assignment? Cut class."

And with that being said, Jamie turned on his heel and walked out of the classroom.

Gosh that seems simple, doesn't it?

[Mwah ha ha. And OCD is up.]
