Library, Thursday

The past few days of research had turned up enough clues to merit a trip to Special Collections and what might hopefully be the last piece of the puzzle. Still, William thought he'd keep the library open in case anyone still wanted to look for anything that might be useful in stopping the labyrinth that had overtaken much of the island.

Anakin had sent out an email with a similar message, but he'd stuck one on the door to his office just to keep his bases covered:

STAY INSIDE. If I see you behaving in a counterproductive way while out on my patrols, I will fail you.

--AS

He was in the classroom anyway, of course, because it wasn't like he had anywhere else to be for the hour.

Summer had sent out an e-mail to all of her students. She'd also put a note on her office door, just to be safe.

Class is canceled today. Please stay safe and if you can help it, stay inside. And if you need anything at all, don't hesitate to contact me.
- Summer

She decided to wait in her classroom for a bit, in case any of her students had somehow missed the e-mail and showed up for class.

Like the other teachers, Ziva had sent an e-mail to all of her students, telling them not to come to class today and warning them about how much trouble they would be in if they tried to get to the school.

However, unlike some of the other teachers, she was not in her classroom to shoo any crazy teenagers away. She enjoyed her job and her students, but she wasn't going to risk getting that smell on her for them. If they showed up, someone else would surely send them back where they should be.

Things seemed almost deceptively calm as the group gathered in the front area of Special Collections. Bookshelves stretched out in all directions for what felt like much further than the space should hold, and there was no noise save the distant rustle of the school's air conditioning units. If any apprehension hung over the group, it was due more to the situation than the surroundings -- at least right then.

It was an excellent day for a library adventure.

Unlike most teachers, Angua didn't exactly use email often. She had her Gooseberry, which meant she had an imp, but, considering the circumstances, she didn't think sending around a little imp to tell her students something they probably already knew was that good of an idea. So she bucked up, went into the computer lab, and was glad she'd gone in early because she needed a lot of time to figure out exactly how the bloody thing works.

So the email got sent out, and then she sung by the classroom to add a sign on the door:

Why are you here reading this? You should have known class was canceled. Being a good tracker is about being aware of your surroundings, so if you're here, you better brush up and study a lot for finals coming up.

--Sgt. Angua

There. That'll do. Securing her safety pin again, Angua nodded at the sign and then headed back to the library.
