Cafeteria // Monday Lunchtime

It was just another ordinary day in the Fandom High cafeteria. The lunch special was the macaroni, the juice tasted a little funny (which was really no different from the norm), the snickerdoodles were to be avoided, and...

Well, somewhere over the course of the night, they appeared to have gotten in a shipment of peaches. Crates filled with them. More peaches than they could possibly give away, without cooking them up into something. And so, one of the school cooks had come up with the brilliant idea to make a cobbler out of them all.

That was naturally a far better dessert choice than the snickerdoodles, wasn't it? And there was plenty to go around! Eat hardy, kids!

[OOC: OCD FREEEEEEEEEE!!! This is, of course, the place to go if you want to get your fill of peach cobbler before the Masquerade this evening. There should be other posts going up during the course of the day in town with peachy goodness as well, if eating lunch in the school caf isn't your thing. Open for all of your lunchy needs!]

Macro-Tactics, Monday

Their usual classroom was conspicuously empty, barring the note taped to the blackboard and the stack of handouts on the main desk. Every handout had a little note attached to the top, stating, Read, then research and analyze the military budget of the country of your choice, real or fictional.

The note read something else.

Due to a military emergency -- or, the really rather annoying straying of some Terrans onto her territory -- I am unable to join you for class today. Read through the handouts, then work on the assignment. If you leave before class is over, I will know.

How or why, she wasn't going to explain - for any of it. But she was totally planning to enforce it. Beware.

Wouldn't it just figure that the week something seems to be happening was exactly the week that Zack happened to go off to fight monsters in a different world? Alexander couldn't help feeling that he was going to be terribly disappointed when he filled his fraternity brother in upon his return, but, until then, it looked like it was just him to take the reins of the club.

Not that he imagined they'd want to do that much.

"So," Alexander said, feeling slightly awkward, but knowing he shouldn't be, "you may have noticed there's some odd things going around today, what with the maze and the little creatures and if you have no idea what I'm talking about, you should go outside, but not before we finish talking about what perhaps we might do about it. Who knows where it could go? I know the temptation to explore is probably quite strong, though I imagine our teachers might not appreciate it as much. So, if we were to explore, what can we do to keep ourselves safer? I...really don't know what else to do with today's meeting, gentlemen, though I do think we would all be wise to drop in on the Reserve meetings tomorrow and Wednesday, if you don't already attend them."

"Any other thoughts?" he wondered, looking to his fellow brothers...the ones who were still there, anyway...imploringly.
