Rick had spent the last few days holed up at his place working on a truly epic class, one researched and detailed down to the very last detail. When they entered the Danger Shop, the class was greeted with an amazingly accurate representation of late nineteenth century London, late at night.

"Afternoon...SWEET MONKEY-PONIES!" Unfortunately, Rick had also just taken a constitutional outside in order to get into the right mood for class. He slapped the controls of an emergency override he'd prepared, and a glowing vest with holster containing a futuristic gun appeared on him. He grabbed the gun and started shooting.

Of course, since Rick was firing a laser-tag gun, in the Danger Shop with safety protocols engaged, at students who weren't wearing laser-tag vests (though a rack of them had appeared nearby), there was absolutely no effect as Rick took off running into the deserted streets of London.

Looks like it was a very different kind of class they were having today.

"Hey guys," Jim said. "With the weird fog and monsters around, I was thinking it might be a good idea to take it easy this week and just go with a movie day."

*****

"Actually, I was up way too late watching Kansas State beat Xavier. Two overtimes. Did you see the shot that tied it at the end of the first overtime? Yikes. But yeah, that's why I'm not prepared to actually teach."

*****

"And since we're dealing with scary things, let's go with a movie that sounds scary for the first word or two, Satan Dons Gucci. Yes, I own it on DVD. Don't judge me."

Today there was fighting to do, which meant Ronon came in early to set things up for study hall, should any of the students choose to participate. The fog and the nasty creatures within brought out all of Ronon's more animalistic qualities and he was well-prepared for battle on this day.

Tacking up a sign announcing he'd return to lock up after fourth period, he slammed it into place on the door with a small throwing knife.

...And promptly turned into a wee giant panda.

The twins were remarkably quiet during Dan's shift at the library today. Which was good because Lord knows Dan could use the extra sleep. Screw the crisis in town, he had himself to think about.

It was an unusual meeting for the newspaper staff. For one thing, Hoshi was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday since she'd spent the night at work. She also has her dog with her since she hadn't had a chance to go back to her dorm room. And, in a final nod to the danger outside, she sent text messages to the rest of the staff before the meeting to let them know that they could skip it if they couldn't safely get to the school.

"You guys, we did a great job on this edition of the paper considering everything going on," said Hoshi. "I suppose we can come up with a plan for next week's paper, or at least figure out how to get back to the dorms without having to go out in the fog."

When Alex entered the classroom, she had a German shepherd with her. No worries, he was housebroken. In fact, he was possibly better behaved as a dog than he ever had been as a human, but saying that out loud would probably earn you a head-slap.

Since it seemed like right now the best thing Support could do was either research or help the researchers, Francine sent out ubiquitously handwavy e-mails about for God's sake not going out to the park today, and hitting the books instead.

However, fear not, for the usual weekly supply of treats was still provided! It was just laid out along tables in the hallway -- alongside a selection of hot and cold beverages -- so researchers could duck out to re-fuel with some food and caffeine!
