Library [3-26]

The twins were remarkably quiet during Dan's shift at the library today. Which was good because Lord knows Dan could use the extra sleep. Screw the crisis in town, he had himself to think about.

Angela, like any sensible person, had been keeping well out of that fog unless it was completely necessary... And since it didn't seem to be going anywhere fast, helping with the research effort got deemed as just that.

Not a massive library user, she was sticking to behind a laptop at one of the desks scouring the internet for anything useful, and trying to shake off the lingering unease the walk over had left her with. Ugh.

"Find anything?" Alex asked, offering the girl a quick smile.

Angela glanced over at the question, curling a small smile in return. "Maybe," she answered carefully. "It could be nothing, but--"

She surveyed the page a moment longer, and turned the screen (http://iambicnut.com/rpg/scm/bayblog.jpg) towards Alex. "A bit weird."

"Very," Alex said, frowning at the screen. "The dolphins left? It might be a coincidence, but one of the cops I used to know said he didn't believe in coincidences. Not on active cases, anyway. Someone should probably check it out."

After her class finished, Alex found her way to the library.

Hopefully no one would object to the very well behaved dog that came along. He wasn't usually a dog, and he was napping calmly by her feet. Alex found herself wondering if he needed coffee, in dog-form, but that sentence made her brain hurt.

Back to researching. Her laptop was open and she had several windows going, scouring for anything that might relate to the terms on the whiteboard.

Jack loomed over her shoulder, watching her work.

"Did you try Google?" he offered helpfully.

"Hadn't occured to me," she teased dryly. "Do you know how to spell that?"

"Nope!" Jack answered cheerfully. "But I bet if you google it, you can find out."

"Can I check Lexis-Nexis instead?" she asked. "Or Westlaw? I'm really doing a periodical search, right now, but it's hard to tell what's relevant. Are you having any luck?"

"Came up with the Google plan," Jack told her. "I dunno. I'm not exactly Ratman over here. ...I'm gonna go check the local papers."

"Papers are good," Alex said, frowning at her screen. "I've got something from one of the papers here. Look, tell me what you make of this."

She turned her screen so he could see the paper in question (http://iambicnut.com/rpg/scm/baltimore_sun_cover.jpg).

"I dunno, I'm more of a Washington Post man, myself," Jack told her. "But that definitely looks... disturbing. I was sort of hoping the monkey-ponification process was done by GRAFTING."

They'd gotten to the part of the episode adventure where Jack habitually decided to annoy Carter and Daniel help out with the research. Plus, he was still feeling a little woozy from overexposure to the fog.

So here he was in the library, doing his best to hang around and poke at things help out.

Once again Naomi was back at the library doing research.

The front page (http://iambicnut.com/rpg/scm/baltimore_sun_cover.jpg) of the Baltimore Sun struck Alex's attention. She copied the image and added it to the growing list of information on the whiteboard (http://fh-bde.livejournal.com/530.html?thread=3090#t3090), jotting down a quick note before she returned to her research.

Morgana was searching through documentations of events looking for anything relating to monkeys or ponies or dinosaurs. What she found (http://fh-bde.livejournal.com/530.html?thread=3602#t3602) might not have been relevant, but she did not feel it would be right to leave anything out of sight.
