"Good morning," Ziva greeted everyone after they'd arrived in the classroom. "I do not believe that scaring you all by making you learn about car crashes is an effective way to make you safer drivers, but I have been told that I must make you watch this video nonetheless. There is popcorn and drinks, if you feel the need to have a real movie-watching experience."

[Note: The video has warnings about being "graphic" due to footage of real car crashes, but I watched the whole thing and couldn't make anything out due to the movie being old and grainy. Take that as you wish. :)]

Deadpool had a little movie clip all set up for the class this morning before they were allowed to play smack each other around with swords. "I hope you all had a very informative and bitchy time last week while I was a dingo. Props to anyone who gave me food. And a very disappointed shake of the head toward those who didn't. For shame."

Seriously, what better time to suck up?

"So, today we'll be lookin' into usin' two swords at the same time. Not that most of you have the coordination or anything, but you can pretend to with the practice swords so I can be pretty sure you won't cut off a limb. I mean, Christ kids. Do you have any idea how messy that is? Blood everywhere! And people tend to throw up and it's just not pretty. So, check out this poor quality, mostly unbelievable example of the skill."

A beat.

"Heh, you can see the wirework. Oh, I love it when they leak this shit on the internet before it's time."

Sam got to the library bright and early today, even after stopping for a muffin and coffee. As soon as he was set up for the day, he got onto the computer to do his now-daily tasks of searching for Sylar before losing himself in websites full of meaningless but still intriguing lists. He thought about picking up a book, but he knew full well that he wouldn't be able to concentrate on what he was reading. Getting sucked into the internet was, strangely enough, the better option right now.

[The OCD got sucked into TV Tropes. Oops! ;)]

"Good afternoon, class," Miss Bennet said warmly. "As you well know, we have, of late, been discussing problem-solving. Today I thought it might be interesting for us to apply some of the principles we've been working on."

Summer stood in the front of the room, fiddling with her laptop as the students settled in. She still couldn't believe Thanksgiving was around the corner.

"Hey guys," she smiled, leaning against the desk. "We'll keep the lecture somewhat short today." She was feeling festive, generous... given the holiday week was coming up.

Finishing the lecture, Summer passed out some handouts with extra information on it. "I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, whether you're headed home or sticking around here."

[OOC: OCD coming on up.]

"Abraham Lincoln is usually considered one of our best Presidents. He won the Civil War, ended slavery, was honest, and had a really classy look with his beard and hat," Jim said as the class started. "And before that he was known as a great debater. His debates with Stephen Douglas during a campaign for a seat in the US Senate are pretty much legendary."

"And all of that is great. But before that, he challenged a guy to a sword fight in a pit."

Abe + Sword + Pit = Kinda long post, yes. )

"Next Thursday," Steve said to his students, "is Thanksgiving. We will not be having class due to the holiday. This week, I'd appreciate it if you would paint something you're thankful for. You're welcome to use the media and style of your choice. If you'd like to share your piece with the class when you're finished, and explain why you chose that, you're welcome to do so." Steve swept a hand toward the supplies closets. "Have fun."
