Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whoever made the offering to the weather gods to keep it from raining on the picnic had done their job a little too well this time around. July days had a way of being warm, but today was downright hot, so to combat the heat, tents had been set up all across the lawn to give everyone places to stay out of the sun. Balloons and streamers decorated the area in various shades of red, white, and blue, as if no other colors were allowed to be sold at this time of year.

Tables were set up with food and drinks, including an entire table of varied and moddable flavors of ice cream. There was also a stack of nametags, and three signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, one listing rooms and roommates for the new students, and one listing the cabin assignments for next week's move. With everything in place, the picnic was ready to begin.

Since the area with all the informational signs was bound to get a bit clogged up, more tables and chairs had been set up under a separate tent, still close enough to the food that no one would starve unless they tried very, very hard.
