Miss Elizabeth Bennet was waiting in the library when her students filed in. She had also left a note on her classroom door this morning, reminding her students of the change in location, should any have forgotten. She would kindly overlook any who were running late.

"Please do remember that I have office hours on Tuesday, and I shall be here the entire period, should you need any assistance whatsoever. For now," she smiled. "You have papers to start."

Ned was going to indulge himself today. It was his club and he could indulge if he wanted to. Okay, that wasn't precisely true but he figured he could be selfish just this once.

"Welcome back," he said, hands stuffed into the pockets of his jeans. "Um, I hope everyone's having a good week and all. Staying warm. Today, we're going to cook something that's near and dear to my heart: pies. Pies can range in difficulty from easy to very difficult. We're, of course, going to stay on the easy side of things today. I figure, uh, we can make a pie, take it with us, share it and you guys can report back and tell everyone how they went over."

He nodded towards the table full of moddable pie ingredients. "The important thing with pies is to follow the recipe as closely as you can while adding a little touch of your own to said pie. If that means an extra ingredient for flavor or something, go for it. Just make sure it's going to taste good once you get the filling mixed and the top added. If you need any help, come find me."

He smiled and set everyone loose on the ingredients. Mmm, pies.

As soon as Sam made it to the library in the morning, he started getting busy not dirty to try to make sure everything was perfect before Miss Bennet's class showed up. It felt a little like making sure the house was clean before guests arrived, but considering how much time Sam spent in the library, that wasn't an entirely inappropriate analogy.

"We've discussed how we can't make everyone happy," Nathan said. "Now let's discuss one of the reasons why. As leaders sometimes it is impossible for us to help everyone. We may want to, but we may lack the manpower, funds, or ability. We do the best we can, but that's just it: the best we can. Not the best there is.

"It's therefore necessary to prepare yourself for this. This is where your foundation of goals and values comes in. It will help you figure out what to do when none of the options available to you are pleasant ones."

Nathan handed out the class exercise. "Break up into your groups and talk about how you would handle this situation. There are no right or wrong answers, but there is no option where you can wave a wand and make everything okay.

"Here are your groups:Behind a cut to save the flist )

"I'm here if you have any questions," Nathan said.

"Hey y'all," Murdock grinned. "I hope you enjoyed the trip last week and may be even learned a few things. It's good that we got a chance to visit there and today we're going to be discussing jet aircraft and engines."

Donuts, coffee, and a perky Al Bhed girl sitting in the Journalism Room could only mean one thing. Time for the weekly Newspaper meeting!

The usual coffee and muffins were available to the young entrepreneurs today, and Turtle sat on a desk in the Home Ec room waiting for the others.

"Grind day today," she warned them. "Working on the tents and packaging, but I also want to take a few minutes to talk about an important aspect of the product and that would be how much we're selling them for. Remember, profit is key, so we need to factor in the cost of materials and labor and advertising and things like that. Thankfully, labor is free since we're doing it all and advertising is relatively easy, especially since I can promote them on radio easy-peasy. Any other thoughts are definitely welcome, though."

This week, there was no gymnasium in the Danger Shop; just an alien pier overlooking blue water and a clear sky. On the floor of the pier were large rectangular spans of green with a single tee and a full bucket of golf balls. Off to the side were golf bags filled with all the clubs students could possibly need.

"Today, we're golfing," Ronon announced. More accurately, they were driving golf balls. He picked up a club and stepped up to a green patch where a ball was teed an ready to go. "Just swing and hit the ball. The goal's to go farther than everybody else." Ronon proceeded to demonstrate, swinging the club with one hand and sending the ball flying out into the ocean. "Questions?"
