Library [11/20]

As soon as Sam made it to the library in the morning, he started getting busy not dirty to try to make sure everything was perfect before Miss Bennet's class showed up. It felt a little like making sure the house was clean before guests arrived, but considering how much time Sam spent in the library, that wasn't an entirely inappropriate analogy.

Sam quickly checked in the books that had been returned and put them away, just in case they were needed later.

Satisfied with how the library looked, Sam was taking some time to relax, check his e-mail, and try not to get sucked into doing any Christmas shopping yet.

Sam got excited as the literature class arrived, and went to make himself available for help.

Sam had burritos for himself and Dean today.

It was probably a good thing that Lit class was before lunch.

Dean showed up right on schedule. "You're looking cheerful," he observed.

"I just had to deal with an entire class of people being forced to read," Sam said, breaking into a grin. "It was great."

Dean shook his head. "I've said it before and I'll say it again. You have really weird ideas of a good time."

"Hey, the only time we get lots of people in the library at once is when we're being attacked," Sam said. "You can't blame me for being excited now."

With classes over, Sam finally felt like he could really relax, and got settled at the desk with a book.

"Hey," Sam said, grinning. He marked his page and set the book aside.

"Mocha and donuts," Peter said, handing them over. "I couldn't decide between coffee and hot chocolate. Figured I'd split the difference."

"Between coffee and chocolate, coffee is always the better choice. But mochas are a perfect combination," Sam said, taking the coffee gratefully.

"So how's it going?" Peter asked.

"Good. Really good. I got to help out with a class today," Sam said.

"Oh yeah?" Peter asked. "Did they make you a teacher?"

"Sort of. The Literature class has to do book reports, so I got to help out the people who haven't been to the library before. Or like, don't know what a library is, which is always a little weird."

Peter went to put a hand on Sam's arm. "Are you okay? That must've been traumatic for you."

Sam took a sweep through the library to make sure everything was cleaned up before he closed up.
