"We find ourselves," Lulu said, as the class began, "at the end of our time together as a class. This means that it is time for your final examination.

"You should see before each of you a booklet and a pencil; you will have the entire class period to answer one question. I will say now that there is no one right answer to this final. What I am looking for is honesty and analysis of the course material." She wrote out the question on the board: What is the most important thing you, personally, have learned in this class, and why?

"If you wish to speak to me about the final, or about anything else, I will be in my office all the rest of the week. You can come by any time.

"You have one hour starting now. Good luck; I trust you all to do your best."

[Comments might go NSFW, as this is Lulu's class. Perhaps not the most traditional of finals, but then Lulu's not the most traditional of teachers. ;) Pls to be waiting for OCD is up!]

"I'm afraid today is the end of our time together," Steve said ruefully. "Today is your final. It's also an art show. I was going to give you a test, but then I remembered art isn't about tests. So, you'll have ten minutes to complete any last-minute setup on your mixed media projects, then, you may circulate, look at one another's projects, chat, and enjoy grape juice and cheese. Your ten minutes begin...now."

Sam was moving a little slower than normal this morning, thanks to the flag football game yesterday. Of course, the fact that he was carrying a stack of books that was a third of his height might not be helping matters much.

Wilson stood waiting for his class to file in as per usual on a Monday morning. There was an extra special spread of holiday cookies and other treats laid out for the kids and Wilson himself wore a bit of a melancholy smile as he sipped his coffee and watched.

As soon as everyone was in and settled, he started the final class.

"Well guys, it's that time. Final class of the term. I just want to say what a wonderful time I've had teaching you all and getting to first hand witness some of the amazingly creative ways you've all come up with for coping with what I've thrown at you this semester. It's been a lot of fun."

Straightening, he walked over to the chalk board and began to write.

"Here is your final scenario. You have blue books at your desk, please write me up an essay on how you would cope with the following scenario."

Josh barely looked up from his pile of newspapers as the government students filed into his classroom. It stopped him from stressing out about the radio last night. "Here are you exams, people," he said, finally remembering to pass the papers out, "try not to burst out crying if at all possible."

Final Exam! )

When the finals were handed in, Josh gave the class a smile. "It has been a real pleasure teaching here for the last two and a half years. I've accepted a job as the campaign manager for Congressman Matt Santos's run for president, so I'll be leaving the island at the end of the week, but if any of you are looking for a summer job and really love to knock on doors, I'll leave my email address for you."

Today, the Danger Room didn't look like either a lab or a classroom. Or any kind of building, for that matter. Instead, the students would find themselves on a sunny street full of shops in the Juuban District of Tokyo.

Oddly enough, Professor Tomoe's face was still covered in shadows.

He leaned against a rail as he waited for his students to show up. He grinned widely once they were assembled. "Good afternoon, class!" he said. "You may be wondering what we're doing in a nice part of Tokyo and how it relates to your final exam. Well, over the past few months, we've been talking about many of the tools that that mad scientists use. For your final, we're going to see how well you've learned how to use them. There is only one activity involved in your final."

He threw his arms open wide. "DESTROY TOKYO!"

He then let out a long maniacal laugh that went on for so long that it ended in a coughing fit. He regained his composure, and lowered his arms. "Yes, I want you to destroy Tokyo. You may use any tool that we've talked about this semester. I have a copy of the syllabus taped up to one of the poles if you wish to refresh yourself on the topics we covered. You will receive higher grades if you manage to destroy the Tokyo Tower as a part of your rampage."

He held up a warning finger to the group. "However, you should know that Tokyo has the highest concentration of so-called 'heroes' on the planet, even more than New York. It is highly likely that some costumed fool will try and stop you from destroying the city. Should they appear, you must either defeat them, or destroy as much of the city as possible despite their interference."

He gave them another glowing grin. "Good luck."
