Today Deadpool was trying something new. Today Deadpool was going to empower the girls in the class.

Today... Deadpool was having them watch a movie.

Because the lesson plan for today had various bits of brain matter on it from a very unpleasant weekend. Eew.

"Goooood morning kids! Today you're all going to learn about women in bars. In skimpy outfits. Dancing on the bar. And then spraying each other with water." He grinned happily. "Oh, blatant fanservice disguised as woman empowering, Hollywood what will you bring us next?"

He popped in the movie, pushing play. "So, sit back and enjoy Canine Fugly!"

Yondaime smiled sheepishly at everyone as he came into class late and started handing out massive packets to everyone. “Good Morning, today we’re going to be studying Kanji. Kanji…” He paused. “Is a way of writing short hand, but not at the same time, since one kanji symbol can have several different meanings depending on what context it is used in. Thankfully, since this is just a short term class, we’re not going to have to worry about any of that.”

“One thing that I’m going to really be picky on with kanji, that I wasn’t with hiragana, is stroke order. Stoke order is how you write each line and in what order, believe it or not, it will effect how the kanji looks. Weird, I know. In the packets, you’ll find the kanji, stroke order, meanings, and examples of it in use. This is all just a reference for you all, there’s a packet to write out the different kanji and stoke order that I’d like by the end of class. Other than that, I’m turning you all loose to work alone or with each other. So don’t destroy anything.”

A day early, Peter was in the Journalism Room. So were the pastries and coffee etc.

It was definitely a Danger Shop day, but Lieutenant Kerrigan was looking a little bit more frazzled than usual. If there was a reason for this, she was not going to announce it to the class.

Instead, she would probably just yell at someone given an excuse.

"Today, we're going to be dealing with air assaults," she informed the class briskly. Her eyes were doing that neat little staring daggers thing. "Obviously, when you're outnumbered, unless you've got damn good maneuvering skills or a rock the size of a planet over your head, assaults from the air are going to cause some major damage which will probably end in your horrible death. That's where sheer force of armament is going to be on your side. A good shot with the right gun can take a bird right out of the sky."

What followed was a rant so technical as to be downright impressive.

"Keep your heads nice and down, kids," she finally segued probably much to everyone's relief, "You do not want a bullet from a Wraith cruiser in your head. Really puts a crimp in your day if you're, say, powdering your nose or pondering your existential angst, Adama. It's all a matter of range - take that ship out before it takes you and there's no problem. So you kids are going to go get some practice today, and if I hear anyone complaining I'm going to--"

Pause.

"Do something Dean Jones would probably disagree with. Get working."

Instead of arriving a few minutes early, as usual, this morning sees a somewhat sleep-deprived Bridge shuffle in to the library only moments before he's due to open it.

Anakin was quieter than usual, trying to shake off the feeling of foreboding he'd woken up with. He hoped it had nothing to do with the bachelor party he'd be attending later in the day.

His weekend plans weren't far from his mind, though, as the day's lesson made clear. "Love is patient, love is kind," he began, then made the universal symbol for "blah, blah, blah" with his hand.

He might secretly be a soft touch on the subject, but no one in this room would ever know it.

"In the Jedi Order, we were taught that in order to maintain proper distance, to negotiate impartially across our galaxy, we were to strive for serenity, not passion. To be proper Jedi, we shall not know anger, or hatred, or love."

He crossed his arms over his chest and glanced around the room, eyes resting on Qui-Gon and Jaina for longer moments. "Is this an unreasonable standard to hold someone to?"
