John paced the front of the room, and gave a quick overview of shop safety. Wear the shop glasses, don't light gas on fire, no firing up the engines without warning other people, and so forth.

"H'okay, you three. Last week was kinda an intro class. Lotsa talking, not much action. This week? Action. Here's the deal: you need to pick an engine, diagnose the problem, and repair it. Probable problems will be a bad spark plug, dirty carb, or a broken part. Or all three. Could be something more severe, like overheating, cracked block, ring job, new pistons." He thunked three small-engine manuals on the table.

"It may not be for whatever engine you choose, but it's got the basics, and they've got a good step-by-step on troubleshooting. Diagnosis. Disassembly. Reassembly."

He pointed to a pile of parts on a side table. The table was chartreuse, as was every other frickin' thing in the shop aside from the engines and the parts, as they were not part of the Danger Shop but real. "This is a pile of crap for your engines. Carb rebuild kits, valve kits, ring job kits, cylinder hone kits, et cetera, et cetera. Tools are on the wall," he said, pointing to the lovely green toolboxes with sickeningly green tools (blasphemy!) "and if you need anything, I'll be here. So. Questions?"

The danger room was set up as a movie theater. Barney strutted into the room wearing a three-button classic tan Versace suit with a purple shirt and silk tie.

[OOC: For the out of class activity, please obtain OOC permission from the people you use your spy camera on before doing so. Of course, the activity is the only real interaction for class today as I have RL stuff going on! SP for me, but Andrew should be around! Pick up line list is not mine. Please wait for The OCD is up, enjoy!]

Class was once again being held in the Danger Shop. There was atable set up with drinks and snacks and Phoebe was sitting on her desk. She was smiling, but she also looked a little pensive.

"Okay, for class today, we're going to do two things. First of all, we're going to start talking about modern day witchcraft. Second of all, I'm going to give you an assignment for next class. I'll explain more about that in a few minutes."

She looked around the room. "After the horror of the witch trials and the Burning Times, most witches went underground into hiding for fear of being prosecuted or killed because of their faith and practice. many different religious and spiritual paths cropped up to hide Witchcraft. One of the ones we are going to start talking about today is the practice of Wicca."

She shook her head. "Okay, homework assignment for next week." She looked at everyone. "I want you to think about two questions. Do you believe in a Higher power and why? What do you think the relationship between that Higher power and those of us down here is... or should be?"

Bridge bounces brightly into the bastion of books better known as the "library".

Fraser's still avoiding the area of the hole this Thursday. He doesn't want to chance even walking in the vicinity of the stones and causing dinosaurs to, once again, appear.

He's also not thinking about having to wear a dress. His own fault for challenging someone like Aly and failing to realize she'd just take any challenge.

It's a warm day and it's only going to get hotter. Fraser nods at the students as they arrived, pointing them to the safety equipment and then letting them get to work.

Once again the class was in the Danger Shop, which was set up to look like a target range again. There was coffee and donuts on the table with the sign in sheet as well as another handout.

"Good morning," John said, putting down his own cup of coffee. "Today we're going to be looking -- and trying out -- various sorts of handguns." He talked at some length about the various types and advantages and disadvantages, covering the information that was in the handout.

"But enough talking," he said finally. "What you're all here for is to get to actually try them out for yourself. So please step up to one of the open spots on the target range. Like last week, the computer will provide whatever gun you ask to try -- as long as that gun falls under the category of handgun and is a projectile -- not energy -- weapon. If you're comfortable with a certain type of handgun, try something different. I'll be around to each of you to observe and give advice and suggestions as I feel are needed. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Please remember the gun safety rules we talked about last week and follow them; failing to do so will earn you detention." John looked around at the students and gave a boyish grin. "So, shall we begin?"

This morning, Vala was clutching a cup of coffee like it was a lifeline. More coffee and an assortment of danishes were also set out. Students would probably notice the stitched scar on her face, as well as the one on her arm. Both were dinosaur-inflicted, but she wasn't overly bothered by them.

"Good morning," she yawned and gave a listless wave, "Today we'll be discussing the opposite sex. Which, since this is the title of the class, you can't say is a big surprise."

"Before we can develop a plan of attack and help you get over the stark terror of stepping into the dating pool, I'd like you to make a list of what scares you, confuses you, or annoys you about the opposite sex. Then I would like you to pair up--with someone of the opposite sex--and trade lists. Hopefully a lively discussion will ensue. Try to help them understand the differences, if you can."

Another yawn. "Please hand in all lists at the end of the discussion to either myself or Jack, so that we can decide how to better structure the class for the rest of the summer."

[ooc: Posted extremely early because I will be AFK until Friday night, EDT. Obviously, there will be SP. And possibly Jack-pinging. Not dirty. I think]
