There were no bananas in sight today. This was probably a good thing. There were, however, two teachers seated in throne-like chairs in the front of the classroom looking expectant. "Let's start with your homework," Anakin began. "You were given 20 dollars and told to buy an amazing gift for one of us. Let's see what you found."

"After you've presented your gifts, Anakin will judge them," Ahsoka said, from her spot in the smaller of the two throne-like chairs. Because of course they were getting judged on the gifts. "Then we'll get into your task."

"I do like judging," Anakin said, to the surprise of absolutely no one.

After the presents had been ranked according to the caprices of Anakin, the students were led one at a time through a door into a small room with a model of a miniature farm scene.

Next to the scene were various improvised building materials, and a potato.

"Your task is to build a bridge over the river using only the materials on the table," Ahsoka explained. "Your bridge must be self supporting and hold the weight of the potato by itself. Highest bridge wins. Do not take apart the tiny castle to help you. You have twenty minutes."

She blew on her whistle.

Students had been warned to bring gear for colder climates today, though when they arrived on the steps of the school, they would see Ghanima once again simply dressed in a tunic and light pants with sturdy boots, although Trebor was bundled-up accordingly.

She could regulate her body's processes. Her toddler could not.

"I hope you weren't hoping for beaches today," she said once everyone had assembled. "Because while you'll be seeing coastline, it's going to be a bit chilly."

"Today we are heading to Los Glaciares National Park in Santa Cruz, Argentina. The national park encompasses an area of 7,269 square kilometers, and it is the largest national park within the country of Argentina, and is a sister park with Torres del Paine National Park in Chile."

"The park is named for the Andes ice cap that is 30% of the national park area -- it is the largest glacier field in the world apart from Greenland and Antarctica. It serves as the source for 47 large glaciers with 13 of them flowing eastward toward the Atlantic Ocean. It is also home to Perito Moreno Glacier which is considered one of the more significant tourist attractions within the country."

"Today, we are going on the Perito Moreno Glacier Trail, which is one of their more popular trails. It is considered an 'easy' 4.7 km point-to-point trail that meanders through forests out to a lookout point providing a panoramic view of the glacier." She adjusted Trebor's hat over his ears as the portal appeared. "Now, let's get going!"

There were a lot of ways to do this exercise, and Jag had vetoed a few scenarios before settling on this one. And so the Danger Shop looked like a living room- unnecessarily, they could have done this in a classroom but it was about the ambiance- and the coffee table was filled with menus.

"Your exercise today looks fairly simple," Jag began. "You will need to decide as a group where to eat. You'll have the class period, and if we have enough time after your decision, we really will order it."

"Some ground rules," Jaina said. "You do not get to leave the room. You can only select one restaurant. You are not allowed to say any variation of 'I don't know," or 'you decide,' or I will take it as consent to spray you with a squirt gun."

"That's all," Jag said. "Your time starts now."

"Right." Jon nodded. "So, today is about starting a conversation."

He paused awkwardly.

"Apparently one of the best ways to do that is by asking a question. Some suggested questions are," he looked at the note card he'd written out, "What brought you here; I like a part of your outfit, where did you get it; have you heard about this news story; have you seen such-and-such movie; and what's on your bucket list. I...um. Well, I try not to ask questions myself." For reasons.

"Which doesn't mean it isn't a good idea! So maybe we could try that. Each of you can ask me a question and ask each other a question, and I'll...do something, and let's see if we can keep each conversation going for..." Well, it was a one-hour class, and that would be six conversations if he could not-ask questions back... "For ten minutes each. At least. You don't have to ask those I mentioned, just anything."

Maybe they'd talk to each other a lot and he could get out of this. That was totally in the spirit of the class, right?
