It would seem that their time for mountain activities had passed, as class was being held back in the gym again, and it was very clearly going to be a classic return to form in the spirit of your typical phys ed class, if the stacks of colorful scooters were any indication.

Not that Gladio imagined his students would have that much in the way of knowing the cultural significance there; hell, even he'd only learned about this sort of thing after he'd started teaching gym classes, but it was apparently a staple, and so he wasn't about to let class finish up without dragging them out, and the final class was definitely already reserved for something else.

"Hope you're all ready to watch your fingers," he announced, "because today? We've got scooters. Now, these scooters are a popular activity for gym classes, it's fun, it's got a little element of danger with the potential of rolling over your fingers, and it can be a surprisingly good workout. Plus you guys'll get to see me on one of these things, which, believe me, is a sight to behold. I got a few activities centered around using the scooters, so let's take a few moments to warm up and stretch out and then we'll get right to it."

“Students, this is our final class before your final exam!”

What, you didn’t think Sam would end a semester without a proper exam, did you? There would absolutely be a written test next week.

“As such,” he continued, “I have saved a special and extremely weird state for our discussion. The state of Florida!”

They had to get there eventually, right?

“Florida’s state bird is the mockingbird which is unacceptable. A bird named for mockery? Appalling. There are so many other birds to choose from!” There were bald eagles, for example.

“Florida is home to Walt Disney World, which I appreciate for their appreciation of my work as well as their appreciation for America! It is also, unfortunately, a place that appreciates the work of my,” Sam sighed heavily, “colleagues.”

Sam shook his head to dispel such thoughts.

“Florida has a series of islands known as the Florida Keys. Keys are for locks and I do not understand why an archipelago would be named for them! They are islands, not bits of metal! Let us not speak of the key lime.” With his luck some limes and coconuts would appear and start singing. Beaker, the narrative was not making a suggestion it totally was though.

“And one of the strangest thing about Florida,” Sam said in a low voice, “is the phenomenon of the Florida Man. I have prepared a short presentation on the subject for you all to enjoy.” Enjoy was such a strong word, Sam.

“Once we are finished with that, we shall discuss your thoughts on the weirdness of Florida!”

"Oh dear," was all Belle had to say when she walked in to the library and found the enormous jelly donut waiting there.

Her "Oh no!" followed shortly after when a pair of gremlins appeared from wherever it was gremlins appeared from and took flying leaps onto the donut.

"You're getting jelly and sugar everywhere," she scolded then from what she hoped was a safe distance. Today might be a very long one.
