"Sometimes," said Summer, with a nod of greeting to everyone as they were in the danger shop today, and, as much as Summer did love her danger shop classroom module because it was hilarious, they were actually on a big open stage, with several dozen giant floating heads scattered throughout the yellow sky overhead. There were instruments, a few volunteers from the zombie band, and Summer had a microphone in hand to help really bring today's lesson to life, "a universe is at risk from a big giant stupid evil government. Sometimes, it's a giant spider invasion. Sometimes," she gestured toward the heads in the sky, "it's Cromulons."

"SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!" boomed the largest, closest, most golden of the heads in the sky.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Summer waved a hand dismissively at it, "we're getting to it, we're getting to it. Hold your horses. Now, okay, so, Cromulons actually feed on the talent and showmanship of other beings, and so they have a tendency to go around to different galaxies, kidnapping planets, and then forcing them all to participate in an intergalactic talent show called Planet Music to satiate their hunger. Which, you know, rude, that kind of thing should be strictly voluntary, especially when the consequences for losing is, you know, death and complete global annihilation.

"Today," Summer said, winding down to her conclusion, "the Cromulons will not be destroying Earth if you fail to satisfy their hunger for entertainment, but you are still going to have to think on your feet and try to put together some kind of act, preferably a musical one, for them as your class assignment. Because jerkbags like this," she gestured toward the heads, "exist in the Multiverse, so it doesn't hurt to just have a wide variety of options and plans ready to go. You can work solo or team up in pairs or groups if you want, and you've got the full range of the danger shop for costuming, set pieces, etc, etc, etc, but basically, you're going to have to--"

"SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!" the giant head interrupted. "I WANT TO SEE WHAT YOU GOT!"

"Ugh," Summer rolled her eyes, "so impatient! Anyway, you get the idea, and, really, just know that the Cromulon's taste is...questionable. Let me play for you what saved my Earth when these guys showed up, and, yeah, that's what you're working with."

Thankfully, Summer would not be playing too much of "Get Schwifty" for you, because it is terrible.

The Danger Shop was completely covered in fog. Someone had bought a fog machine with the ambitious slogan "you can't steal what you can't see" and had modified it slightly.

Well. More than slightly.

"Meep meep meep meep," came Beaker's voice from somewhere near the ceiling. "Meep meep meep meep meep meep!"

Yes, those of you who can understand him, you are going to making your own fog machines with the equipment that is definitely on the tables somewhere in this room. So, um, watch your shins and arms while you're wandering around.

"Meep meep meep meep!"

Because you can't foam what you can't see!

Don't tell him about infared vision.

"Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep--"

And that was Beaker falling from the ceiling. You didn't sign up for this class because you wanted normal, right?

Ghanima and Trebor were back today, Trebor being minorly fussy in his pack-and-play until Ghanima gave in and popped him into the baby sling right before class began.

"You really have to get used to not being carried everywhere," she murmured to him, dropping a kiss on his head as he got settled. "Your Fremen aunties are going to throw a fit about what a loud, spoiled baby you are."

To be fair, by Fremen standards, he was a very loud baby.

Sicarii, Hashshashin, and Ninjas, OH MY. )

"Now, I'm curious. How do these organizations fit your concept of assassins? Do you have anything similar where you are from? Is any of this new information to you, or does it fit your understanding of assassination organizations?"
