Phys Ed; Friday, Third Period [02/10].

Feeling inspired by teaching Nell how to use the rowing machines at the gym earlier that week, Gladio rooted through the Danger Shop archives until he found something that might suit his needs, a nice wilderness scenario that involved a lot of gorgeous views and, most importantly, a nice big river course with some interesting rapids and turns in it. And since they did swimming last week, doing another lesson involving water seemed to be just a nice little fit, didn't it?

"Today," Gladio greeted the class with a grin, giving one of the canoes leaning against a strategically place tree a little pat, "we're learning how to row and paddle a canoe. It's pretty simple and easy once you get the hang of it, and there's definitely a lot to keep in mind to make sure you're doing it properly and correctly, so we're just going to get right into it. We'll start here on dry land to go over the techniques, and, once everyone's feeling comfortable with that, we'll hit the water and see where it takes us. Alright! Lots of upper arm strength and core work with this one today, so let's make sure we warm up and stretch those areas before we get started, and then we're off."

An Introduction to Zoology - Friday, 1st Period

“This week we’re going to start looking at extinction and evolution,” Cutter began that week’s lecture as he handed out his usual stack of notes


“Extinction is the process where it results in the disappearance of a population of species,” Cutter continued once he had handed out his notes, “there are a number of causes that can explain why a species went extinct, these range from asteroid strikes to loss of habitat and samples of extinct animals include the Dodo, Tasmanian Tiger and the Mammoth,”

“Meanwhile Evolution is the change in the characteristics of a species over several generations, relying on the process of natural explanation,” he explained, “there are different types of evolution, convergent evolution is when the same adaptations evolve independently under similar pressures and coevolution is where two species or groups of species have evolved alongside each other and they adapt to changes each other and finally adaptive radiation is where species split into different forms after there is a change in the environment makes new resources or creates new environmental challenges,”

Practical Engineering - Friday, 4th Period

“Good afternoon,” Goose began that week’s class, “I thought for today’s lesson we could have a look at this week we’re going to take a look at strength of materials, which looks at how well a material is able to withstand an applied load without being damaged,” he explained.

“A good way to experiment with this is through making rubber band helicopters and that’s what we’ll be doing for our practical today,”

Library - Friday

When Jo arrived at the library after her class that morning, the first thing she noticed was that all the books in the library seemed to be variations of pink and red, even the books that were left for her to put away that morning had changed colour.

She wasn’t entirely sure how the books had managed to change colour, she supposed it was the library’s way of decorating for valentine’s day but as far as she could tell everything was where it was supposed to be genre wise, so at least she didn’t have too much difficulty reshelving this week.

Musical Theater! [Friday, Period Two]

Class was back in the auditorium this week.

"After much consideration, we've settled on our cast list. It involved a lot of tough choices." Way to make it sound like there were more than four students in the class, Cara.

"You may now run to check the cast list if you like," Jaskier added graciously. Because clearly that's what they were all just dying to do, right?

The suspense had no doubt been killing them.

After they'd had a chance to check out the cast list, Cara continued "With that it's straight into rehearsals."

"With a bit of dialogue writing," Jaskier suggested. "As we go."

Guys, what even was this play?

An exciting surprise! "So you can really feel ownership of your characters."

And certainly not because Cara and Jaskier hadn't written a single word. Oh no.

"It'll be amazing!" Because enthusiasm helped, right?
