The Art of Peace; Thursday, Third Period [09/08].

Once again, the students would enter their classroom to find a ring of comfortable cushions and pillows arranged at the center, and their instructor already comfortably sitting on one of them, a cup of tea in his hand, a pot and several more cups for the students waiting before him. On the board, scrawled in large letters to take up the space was a quote:

"Peace is always beautiful. - Walt Whitman"

Shunsui smiled quite peacefully himself at the students as the settled into their spots and, once they had and the offer of tea was made, he began.

"Hello, ducklings ♥," Shunsui greeted the students. "Welcome back ♥. I assure you, not every class will be quite like this, sitting around and discussing matters, but it is a rather good way to ease on into our exploration of the Art of Peace, neh ♥? And today, I'd like to ask a very important question that will no doubt guide us on the rest of our journey, and that is....what is Peace, exactly? What does it mean to be peace-ful? Let's explore, shall we ♥?

( Peace is always rambly... )

"But..." Here Shunsui broke off with a faint chuckle, "talk about it is exactly what we'll be doing....for now ♥. This is, obviously, a very large topic, with many nuances and facets, and I'd like to know what you think ♥. What are you own personal philosophies on peace ♥? What does your society say about it? What obstacles present itself in obtaining your ideal of true peace ♥? No wrong answers, of course ♥! Just a discussion to help understand and maybe open our minds and eyes to perspectives that may not be our own ♥.

Library, Thursday 9/8

"What in the world...?" Belle asked as she walked into the library for her shift.

It was raining in the library. More accurately it was raining on one shelf. And only one shelf.

"This is really unacceptable," she told the library, frowning at the ceiling. "You're going to ruin your own books!"

With a sigh she went to fetch an empty bookcart so she could move the wet books to a safer and dryer location.

"Perhaps there's a fan somewhere to help them dry?"

Intro to Palaeontology, Thursday- 1st Period

In what was perhaps a first for Cutter, he had shown up to his class two weeks in a row. He didn’t have Rex with him this week so he felt it was safe to leave the windows open for the class.

“Good morning,” he said as he stared the lecture, “this week we’re going to begin covering dinosaurs, which seemed to be a point of interest for most of you last week, this is easily a big enough topic to cover an entire course but we’ll go through the cliff notes version over the next few weeks to give an overview of just how dinosaurs came to evolve,”

“Last week I mentioned Rex was from the Permian period, which is actually a good segue into talking about the ‘Age of the Dinosaurs’ so to speak,” he explained as he began to hand out his different notes on the topic, “the first period we’re going to be covering today is the Triassic Period , which picks up where the Permian left off after its mass extinction event,”

“The end of the Permian saw nearly 90 percent of all life of Earth wiped out,” he continued, once he had handed out his notes, “it was also known as the Great Dying and afterwards, the Triassic Period began nearly 252 million years ago and it is this period that saw the evolution of dinosaurs that we’ve come to understand today,”

“So what is a Dinosaur?” he looked around the class, “dinosaurs are archosaurs, a larger group of reptiles that first first appeared at the start of the Triassic Period, there was a lot of changes in this period that allowed for the appearance of the dinosaurs,” he paused, “after the great dying, the climate in particular was less extreme - there were no polar ice caps for instance, the biological habitats weren’t as diverse”

“The landscape was also very different, in the Triassic all the continents were still merged into one supercontinent called Pangea,” he added, “and it was surrounded by a large ocean called Panthalassa,”

“The Triassic Period is the beginning of the Mesozoic Era and in the next couple of weeks we will also be looking at the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods,” he continued, “The first dinosaurs appeared in the fossil record about 240 million years ago,” he went on, “even though they weren’t the dominant species at the time, some examples of these dinosaurs are theCoaelophysis the Melanorosaurus and the Plateosaurus,'

“For next week, I’d like you to prepare a report on an animal of your choice that lived in the Triassic period, you will be expected to give a brief presentation as well on your research,”

Sexy Crimes, Thursday, Period 2

The classroom as a vast selection of modable clothing when the class arrived. And Jaskier, of course, was putting on a jaunty, feathered hat from the pile. "Good morning! Good morning once again! And welcome back to Sexy Crimes, where we focus on a very important aspect of it... the fashion."

"Much as I am loath to admit it, sometimes you do need to look the part," Cara said, and she would not be elaborating on her own experiences in the matter. "And while sexiness is a state of mind, it doesn't hurt if your mind has a little help getting there."

"Oh, this jacket is divine." Jaskier was no longer paying any attention to teaching as he pulled out a long red jacket.

Look, you put a bunch of clothing by a bard and this is what you could expect to happen.

While he was distracted by the jacket, Cara reached across to try and grab the hat off him, because that was not sexy at all, Jaskier. "In any case, your task today is to find a new look that works for you, then go out and see how sexy you feel in it."

Just ignore the music that started playing in the background.
