The Art of Haiku; Monday, Second Period [07/25].

The weather, it would seem, continued to be rather cooperative (in the morning, at least), so it would be another session of poetry in the park for the Art of Haiku class! Or possibly just napping. Napping, after all, was merely the haiku of the slumbering world.

But when his little class showed up and gathered in the usual spot, he gave them his usual sleepy smile and began, not with napping, but right into the poetry, although it did touch lightly on the idea:

"Now, of course, we can discuss some of the works of Kobayashi Issa, or perhaps share some if you know a few yourself ♥. I will gladly offer a few more if you care to hear some, and then, I would like us to perhaps use Issa-san's sense of humor in our own work today. With that, as there anyone who would like to get us started ♥?"

2Paint2Ball, Monday, July 25, 2022 [4th period]

The paintball guns were missing this time around, replaced by what looked like a collection of bows and arrows. Because Tony was possibly designing things for a friend.

It was totally normal to test them here, right?

"We're switching things up again," Tony said excitedly. "New weapons, new spots for the anti-gravity in the course."

"And paint arrows!" Steve said, equally thrilled. "It's gonna be swell."

"The arrow itself should turn to paint on impact. It's a new design that I'm very excited to see in action." And the paint carnage that would come from it. This is what happens when Tony was allowed to get creative, after all.

"And even if they don't work quite according to plan--" which Steve didn't believe, he had absolute faith in Tony's designs, "--it'll still be fun!"

Maybe an apology in advance should people get paint on themselves while drawing a bow was warranted, but...that was the fun of the class.

British History, Monday

Jon rushed into the classroom, waving good-bye to the squirrels, half of whom just settled in the room anyway.

"I would like to apologise to you all," he began. "I'm terribly sorry for my tardiness. Unfortunately, the lesson I had planned for today was...well, it's illegible." Leroy had spilled hot fudge on it.

"So instead of that, we'll have," he grimaced, "a 'movie day'." He felt like a bit of a failure having to do it. "I've selected a film that involves several somewhat fictionalised eras of British history, at least, and I hope you will all enjoy it."

He fiddled with the a/v equipment and pressed Play.

Today, Aphra had the slightly grumpy expression of someone who'd actually put effort into their class plan for once only to listen to the radio and realised that fully half their students had turned into animals over the past week. Isabela, on the other hand had popcorn and a remote.

"So we were going to do a totally awesome class on research," she said. "More specifically forbidden, dangerous research, but I guess instead we're just going to watch a holo." Which was still totally awesome, but it was the principle of the thing. The principle!
