"We're going to be doing things just a little bit differently today," Amaya said as she started the class that morning, still out in their little medieval training field, still with racks of weapons behind her and practice dummies off to the side, but there were a few tables and benches set up, as well, with stacks of paper weighted down under rocks (despite there being no breeze) and writing utensils. "We're nearing the end of the semester, and so we're going to do a little project where you'll get the chance to maybe put some of the things you've learned in this class to some creative use.

"Now," she coninued, "we've gone over a lot of different weapons, talk about not only how to use them, but also how they came about, what makes them unique, the pros and cons of some of them...so, ideally, you should have a generally good idea as to what makes a good weapon and, more importantly, what makes a good weapon for yourself.

"Today, we're going to take some of that information," she help up her hands and pushed them in, "mush it all together, mold it around, until you come up with your own idea for a weapon. Now, it can definitely be simple....or it can be complex!...but I want you to give it at least one element that makes it really unique. Like maybe a spear, with a couple extra points..."

"Isn't that just a trident?" Rosa offered dryly.

There was...a pause. "Or a...hatchet. Only there's a trigger on the handle for a switchblade on the end."

"Much better," Rosa nodded.

"Or maybe a cannon but it shoots ninja stars instead," Amaya finally offered. "Either way, this class is all about ideas and brainstorming and putting them down, so that Diaz and I can see about putting these weapons together for you so you can see how they might actually work out if they were real. Let either of us know if you have any questions, feel free to sort through the weapons or swing them around a bit if you need inspiration, and also, additionally, if there's any weapon you'd have liked to have seen this semester that you didn't, now's the time to tell us and we'll see about squeezing it in next week."

Then she grinned.

"I am really looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with."

The vague, somewhat shapeless suggestions of the Seven Heroines from last week's class were up on the board again, only this time, where was an additional one, marked in a red outline rather than the black as the others, with a big question mark in the middle of it.

"Good morning, my intrepid adventurers!" Sidon greeted them excitedly. "And welcome back to another Great Legend of Hyrule! No doubt, I'm sure you all remember our tale from last week, in which we discussed the Seven Heroines and their importance to the Gerudo culture, and their ability to potentially grant blessings and boons to those who seek out their temple! Well! What if I told you that that's not all there is...that there's another legend attached to this already great legend, and that is the Legend of the Eighth Heroiine!

"That's right!" he charged on, whether or not the gasps of shock and excitement that he imagined in his head at this reveal were there or not. "An Eighth! This is a particularly intriguing rumor, especially when one considers the set-up of the Seven Heroines and how they seem quite content to be just seven, without much room for another heroine to join their party. Yet many tell tales of a Eighth statue, hidden somewhere in Hyrule, though none can claim to have seen her with their very own eyes.

"Very little information is known about her, as well, as it's said she has been wiped from the history books. Despite this, her presence lingers on, in the form of whispers, and perhaps even some who still worship her in secret. Said to be made of bronze, thus earning her the nickname the Bronze Lady, and some say she and her sword reside far, far to the north of the other seven, in the mountainous region of the Gerudo Highlands. Is this where she had always resided? Had she been moved there because of some rift with the other seven? Is she completely unrelated at all, and why would she have been so completely eradicated from the pages of history?

"All very good questions that very few around Hyrule know the answer to, although there is certainly plenty of speculation. What do you suspect might be some of the reasons? Are there any mysterious figures in your own cultures that people know very little about, and what to they think about them? What do you suppose the Eighth Heroine might stand for? Does she still stand today? Did she ever really stand at all?

"Also," he added, with a softer smile than his usual toothy one, "if you have a moment, since we're nearing the end of the semester, I'd like to ask your thoughts on what Legends and Tales struck your interest the most or if there's anyhting about Hyrule you'd like to know more about. It would be a terrible tragedy if there was something that really sparked your interest that we didn't get to cover! And I want to ensure that our final class is, indeed, a spectacular one!"

There was a nice selection of pre-baked gingerbread and buckets of royal icing for the class. Since starting from scratch would be a bit much.

"Gingerbread houses might normally be for the winter holidays, but how about we try a little more spring themed," Tony said as people arrived.

Steve nodded eagerly. "It's getting warmer outside, so we thought why not work on tree houses? Edible tree houses?"

Or maybe no, Steve?

"Tree houses... sure!" Tony was gonna roll with this. Sorry, kids. "That'll be fun!"

Ignore the worried beeping of a roomba that could not climb.

"Make sure they're sturdy enough for you to stand on," Steve said. "Tony's going to give you a lesson on gravity and structural integrity first."

A lecture that once again probably featured toomuch detail for the class, but it was Tony, after all.

"We'll also get some padding," Tony added. Just in case. Because it was going to be A Thing.

"And when you take the Roombas up with you, remember that they don't like heights," Steve advised. There were going to be so many panicked beeps about being on cliffs...

The last two weeks had been rather distracting and Goose was still rather distracted, even though talking to both Summer and Ignis about the whole Walsh situation had helped him and had stopped him from going straight back home and confronting him about it. Now he just had to focus on not thinking so much about his upcoming birthday party, it still felt weird to think that his birthday was actually going to be celebrated. It was also weird to think that he had now turned 20 and had in fact managed to make it this far.

“Good morning,” Goose said once class was ready to begin, “so this week we’re going to talk about and start looking at drawing plans for machine drawing,”

Once he had a covered the general overview of machine drawing, he began to outline how the drawings could be read and the steps needed to begin to make design plans.

“So for today’s activity I thought we’d begin practicing having a go at trying out at the methods used in machine drawing, we won’t be making plans for machine designs this lesson but we can get a feel for the process and techniques involved,” he explained.
