The class was meeting in an actual classroom that week, which meant there would be a distinct lack of chocobos, so...sorry about that. But they would only serve as a distraction from the other task at hand, which, as everyone came in and got settled in, would involve a lot of fabric, scissors, needles and thread, hot glue and probably rhinestones.

Basically, the place looked like it was about to become a true arts and crafts nightmare.

Part of that nightmare would probably be on the part of at least two thirds of the teachers themselves.

And it was the one who was likely to keep it fro being a complete disaster this week who lead the charge. "As I'm sure you're all aware," Ignis started, "this weekend is not only your homecoming event, but also a holiday called Halloween, and both will likely involve the use of costumes. And while there is a plethora of options around this town to help inspire you in that respect, there's a lot to be said about one being able to make their costume their own. Which is why, today, we'd like to use the class to make our own costume creations.

"We have a wide variety of supplies and materials to hopefully cover anything you may wish to create," he continued, "and, if not, well, there are three of us, one of us can surely make a quick jaunt into the shops or the supply closet to fetch what's missing. And if you're uncertain about being able to make what you have in mind, I assure you, I am an expert with a needle and thread and will be happy to help out with all the finer details. We have several Do-It-Yourself Costume Ideas here if you're in need of inspiration, and we've also got a few instructions on how to make a chocobo mask"--had to get those in there somewhere!, "a terrifying Kenny Crow mask, and, well...a variety of other paper mask craft ideas, as well.

"Please let us know if there are any questions or if you need help with anything, but, ultimately, I'm sure you all already have homecoming and Halloween on your mind, so let's just get to it."

"Also!" Prompto chimed in, hefting up a large back. "We brought candy!"

Because hopping everyone up on sugar was exactly what they needed!

It was Halloween weekend, there was a themed dance tomorrow night for Homecoming, and this was a class on being a superhero. At least it was meant to be a class on being a superhero. There was only one possible topic for class this week and that was why it was meeting in the Danger Shop rather than a classroom. A classroom wouldn’t have been sufficient for the topic at hand.

“Costumes,” Stark said once everyone arrived. “Important to some superheroes. Maybe not to others. They could help keep your identity secret, if you had a mask. Or help to identify you as a hero. Or as a member of a team. Maybe they help to keep you safe while you work. Maybe you just like to.”

“There are plenty of reasons to wear costumes,” he continued, “and so many options for costumes. So I thought since it is the season for costumes we would choose some today. Or at least try some out. If you like. Since we’re in here there are many options to choose from. Many, many options.” An endless assortment of moddable options, in fact.

“You can choose what you like and tell the rest of us why. What would you wear, if you were a superhero?”

Steve and Tony--no longer a pony, thank goodness--looked dressed for a carnival, not a class, which was probably the students' first clue about what was coming next. "An important part of working as a team is knowing how to have fun together, too," Steve said.

"Which means class today is all about relaxing and having fun," Tony said. "Which can't be graded, but that's sort of the point. It's fall carnival time!"

"Though you will get extra credit if you dunk Barton," Steve said with a grin. "That's advanced teambuilding."

Tony nodded eagerly at that. "We do this out of love for our teammate," he assured the class.

"And the knowledge that he would 100 percent dunk us if the opportunity was offered," Steve added. He grinned and pointed towards the carnival. "Go have fun."
