How to Be A Chocobro; Friday, First Period [09/17].
Friday, September 17th, 2021 06:02 amThe chocobros had thought they'd learned their lesson last week about big reveals not exactly workout out for them, by getting into the Danger Shop a little early to make sure their program was going to work before class started, only to discover that, while the ropes course at least came through, there was still definitely a very considerable chocobo problem, as there were almost more chocobos in the space than there were ropes.
There were even chocobos in the ropes.
"I swear," Prompto insisted, "I'm not doing this on purpose! I have no idea why we keep getting chocobos! Everything should be working fi--"
Noticing that the students were coming in, Gladio cleared his throat roughly and subtly lifted his chin so to bring it to Prompto's attention. He turned to see the class there and let out a sheepish kind of a laugh. "Heeeeey, guys!" he greeted them. "Cool! You're all here! Which means...we're ready for class! And the...large amount of chocobos in the Danger Shop again are definitely part of our plan. Deffffinately."
Ignis finished pressing his classes up his nose for a very, very long moment and gestured to the complicated ropes course looming around them, while gracefully trying to ignore the two chocobos nudging his shoulder. Moving aside wouldn't do anything except bring him in the vicinity of two other chocobos, really.
"As mentioned last week," he began, "we put together this class with Teambuilding in mind, and, though it seems our equipment might have different ideas for our activities than we do, we fully intend to stay the course."
Gladio snorted, helpfully, at the pun.
"Literally, in this case," Ignis continued. "What you see above you is a ropes course, and your goal...other than avoiding the chocobos, apparently...is to get everyone safely across. This will require teamwork and helping each other, at least that is the goal. I have no doubt that some of you can complete the course rather easily by yourself, but this is less about each of our own individual talents and more about our ability to work together as a team and assist those who may have trouble."
And even though neither Ignis nor Gladio said anything or even so much as look his way, Prompto couldn't help a small, nervous sounding laugh at that. Which meant that now, Gladio was side-eying him a little, with a small shake of his head.
"Hopefully," Ignis concluded, "none of you are too terribly adverse to heights, but at least this may be a good opportunity to conquer that fear in the safety of the danger shop. If there are no questions, then, we'll go ahead and get started. Head on up the tower at the beginning and remember, this is about getting the whole team across the course together. We'll see you on the other side."
