"Hey, everyone!" How could Summer not be excited and thrilled for what was definitely her favorite day of the week now, especially after last week had been so, so satisfying? "Welcome back! I hope you've all brought your appetites...and your antacids!...because today's we're actually going to be be focusing on three...that's right, three!...recipes that focus on ease and convenience and feature the sodium-rich goodness of packaged meats."

Because that was always a sentence that would inspire a lot of hope for what was about to happen, right?

"They're all pretty easy, too, so time will definitely not be an issue, but I know you're all eager to see what I've got for you all today. And, don't worry, Liam," Summer's smile went particularly sweet assuming he was there. "I've got vegan hot dogs and bologna, too, so you don't have to miss out on all the fun!"

What a time to be alive!

"Alright, guys. Let's get started!"

It was looking like it was going to be another fine day for enjoying some poetry in the park, so hopefully the students would know where to find the class again, and, if not, well...looks like Shunsui was in for a lovely park bench nap in a little bit!

But the nap would have to wait, as they settled in the shade of a beautiful tree with a nice view of the duck pond and got started.

"Ohayƍgozaimasu, ducklings ♥!" he started with his lazy, half-asleep sort of smile. "And welcome back ♥. Now, I gave you a little bit of an assignment last week, to find a haiku to share with the rest of the class, and so we'll just get right into it and discuss what everyone has brought to share a little bit before settling in and writing some of our own ♥."

And that's it. That's the whole class. That's all the class was probably ever going to be, which is what made it, in Shunsui's opinion, probably the best class yet.

"Who would like to go first ♥?"

Your teachers returned for a second class! Which had possibly been up in the air! There was a confusing television wheeled out to the head of the class that was just that right level of retro-futurism for both of their worlds in some ways.

"Today we'll be discussing how someone is even able to become a bounty hunter," Din said. "The official routes, at least."

"Some of us do it a normal way," Faye told them cheerily. "And some of us join a weird club."

('A normal way,' according to Faye, was by far the weirder of these two options, spoiler alert.)

"It's a guild," Din sighed. "It keeps local law enforcement off your back."

Also, that way you didn't have to work directly for any particular government.

"See, where I'm from, the ISSP works with bounty hunters," Faye pointed out. "We're way more legit."

Which was why she was cueing up the television to share a few Big Shot clips she'd secured.

"See, where I'm from, it's a free-for-all," she explained. "Everyone gets the same shot at the same bounties." And they got those bounties from a television show featuring a pair of cartoonish cowboy people. What? Normal.

WHERE WAS HER SHIRT, FAYE? WHERE?

"..." Din was just staring at the clip before wondering just what he'd gotten himself into here. "That is a terrible idea. There are rules for a reason." Of course, people could just not follow those rules. But there were also people like Din around who would firmly correct them on that subject.

Judy had amazing fashion sense. How dare you. Faye was probably going to dress up as her for Halloween this year.

"It breeds competition!"

Oh cool, Faye, just start an argument with your co-teacher in front of all the kids.

Yennefer swanned into today's class a fashionable five minutes late, which would have been more tolerable had she shown up last week at all. "Apologies for my absence last week," she said, not sounding particularly apologetic. "I had a minor...situation to attend to. I do hope you got my email." They all knew how to check email, right?

Honestly, she wasn't sure the email had sent. She wasn't so much with the whole technology thing, and also she'd been trying to keep her working from exploding and taking the apartment building with it at the time. Attempt number 357 to restore her fertility: a resounding failure.

"Well. This is Magical Theory & Practice, and I am Yennefer of Vengerburg. Since you are in my workshop, I assume you either have magic or want to learn about magic, but I have learned that not everyone's magic works the same as it does in my world, so we will begin with introductions, and each of you will please tell me what you understand of how magic works for you. For example, in my world magic is a matter of controlling and directing chaos. It is also a matter of exchange. That is, the energy for magic must come from somewhere, whether that be a plant, an animal, or the mage's own innate store of energy. My own teacher believed in teaching this lesson the hard way, and allowed one of my fellow students to wither her own arm to levitate a stone. It did get the point across, but please don't do that on my watch. I'm not much of a healer. Now you," she said, pointing to someone at random.

The Danger Shop was looking like a lab again today, and Miguel was chipper. "So, I hope you all had fun with your newly holographic phones! Did you get anybody jealous and asking for one? Remember, we want to get everybody hooked on more future tech. This week, we were going to do hovercars, but...well." He gestured to take in Fandom. "Not much point. So instead, hoverbikes!"

His gesture this time took in the motorcycles at the front of the room. "Might take two weeks, but we're going to shortcut a bit and modify existing bikes to hover instead of building from scratch. We'll also cover getting rid of the heavy and unnecessarily ecologically destructive fossil-fuel gas tank and replacing it with energy cells. And you'll
get to customize them however you want, too." He grinned at Astrid if she was there. "I have appropriate paint."

He clapped his hands. "Let's get to it!"
