"Welcome back, everyone," Amaya grinned, nodding at the students as they got to the shop, because she was going to get right to one of her favorite lessons of the semester. Sure, there were a lot of lessons she would say that about, but this one was not only a lot of fun, but was also something they would hopefully get a lot more use out of, so why not?

"Now, today, we're going to jump right into something we do here in my shop classes every time I teach it, and we're going to get it done right out the gate so that we can use it a lot in other projects. It might not be one of the team efforts I mentioned trying to focus on, but it is useful, and useful is what I am all about. So today, we're going to be making our own mini-foundries!"

"This is a project that'll cover a handful of weeks, probably, unless something else catches my eye in the meatime, but I'm getitng ahead of my elf. We'll be making our own mini-foundries today, which will be used for any future project that will require the melting of metal, which are, personally, some of my favorite projects.

Because who doesn't want a little mini furnace that can melt your face off? )

"And that's pretty much it! Good work today! If you'd like, I've got some metal spray paint in a few different colors if you want to give your buckets a little personal touch before you leave; we can leave them to dry so they're good and ready the next time we get the chance to use them. Any questions before we go?"

Eleanor wasn't sure what was going on with the library today. The books had returned themselves and for some reason Special Collections was letting out loud belching and farting noises.

And for some reason the area around the entrance to Special Collections smelled like broccoli.

"I don't know what the fork is going on," Eleanor said to herself as she settled in. "But I'm not getting involved."

And then properly fell asleep at the front desk.

[No idea how I came up with this. Or why. Just rolling with it.]

Class was once again out in the preserve with the rudimentary shelters either still in place or put back up. It was hard to tell.

"Welcome back!" Tony said. "We'll be moving forward with our survival skills and trying out making a fire. Which would be nice for the winter weather."

"But oh no, we don't have any matches on this, our deserted island," Steve said. Or preserve. Use your imagination, kids. "So working together, how will you solve this problem before becoming popsicles?"

"They key will be in working together," Tony added oh so helpfully. Because that was the buzzword, you see.

"Maybe teamwork will light a spark!"

Steve. Stop.

"Steve." Tony buried his face in his hands.

Steve grinned at him, unrepentant.

"Congratulations," Yennefer said, sounding like she was in no way congratulating her students. "However you did it, you successfully convinced your king not to steal tapestries from a noble. However, he still wants new tapestries to hang in the Great Hall. Freshen the place up a bit. Problem: tapestries are expensive. Solution: levy a new tax to pay for them! New problem: the peasantry is, if not overtaxed, definitely heavily taxed, and all reports indicate the harvest will be bad, due to...various weather conditions, don't worry about that. Perhaps redecorating is not what we should be spending the people's money on right now? Just a thought. That you may wish to convince His Majesty of."
