Multidimensional Economics; Friday, First Period [11/13].

While there certainly was something admirable in the fact that Summer-chan was so devoted to making the most of her sangria night that she had a contingency plan in place, Shunsui also couldn't help feeling like being organized and planning for that sort of thing was just a wee bit...extra. But she was right, he did owe her one for subbing for his class last week (even if he had never actually asked her himself; he had Nanao-chan to thank for that), and so sub for her class he shall. And while the early hour was a little less than ideal, he at least had a very simple and easy-to-execute idea on just what he would teach the students that morning.

And that was experience.

"Ohayōgozaimasu, my little economic ducklings ♥!" he greeted them, outside the danger shop, because that was apparently where Summer-chan had her class meet, though they would not be staying there. "For those of you who don't know me, I am Shunsui Kyōraku, another teacher here at the school and owner of a lovely little shop in town you may have heard of called Turtle & Canary ♥. Unfortunately, your usual teacher is a little indisposed this morning, but, luckily for her, and all of you ♥!, I have been gracious enough to take up the mantle and instruct you in the ways of Multidimensional Economics ♥."

Ugh, even saying that name felt like too much heavy lifting.

"And to do that," he continued brightly, "we're going to be taking a little field trip ♥! Follow me, ducklings ♥!"

And, with that, and a swirl of his robes, Shunsui lead the way, out of the school, into the town, and straight into...Turtle & Canary.

"What better way to learn about multidimensional economics," he announced proudly once they were all inside the door and getting increasingly concerned looks for Apu, who had not been informed of this, "than by working in a multidimensional store ♥! Here, we can use our time together wisely so that you may have the experience of cashiering, of putting away stock, of keeping things all nice and tidy...there are many ways for you to gain that first-hand knowledge that is far more valuable than anything that can be learned by merely sitting in some stuffy old classroom ♥!

"Feel free to take charge of whatever aspect of this very functional lesson in business you'd like, but if you're not certain of where your talents could best be applied, I'm sure the ever-diligent and wise Apu-san here would be more than happy to find you something to do ♥."

While Shunsui would be available behind the counter, clearly so that he was absolutely present in case anyone should need assistence in running the register, and not at all because it was the best place to nap without it seeming like he was just planning on napping through the entire rest of the class if he could...

"Good morning, class," Anakin said, sweeping into the classroom. "Today we're going to talk about doing the right thing even when no one else is watching. We talked about this a little bit when we discussed unsupervised Halloween candy, but let's expand it into things that aren't stealing. What if you've hit a car but no one saw you? What if someone's test answers are in plain view and you didn't study?"

He crossed his booted legs. "I think the big question is--do ethics only exist if there is someone else to watch and enforce them?"

Had Booker gone on a bender and forgotten to put even minimal effort into his class planning for the day? You couldn't prove it!...except for how he was wearing sunglasses inside and everything was set up for a movie.

At least he had remembered it was Friday.

"Today we will be watching...not a French film," he admitted. "It is, however, a film set in France, in a vague fantasy version of the eighteenth century, and based on a French fairy tale." That's right, it was Beauty & the Beast. Not the new one, of course. "Enjoy the film."
