wrongkindofsith: (Someone has to hold the wall up)

There was an office desk in the middle of the tavern today, and your teachers looked fairly uncomfortable sitting behind it.

"Hello! And welcome. To your job. Interviews?" Magnus said in the least smooth way possible. Because wow were your teachers bad at this.

"Where we find out about how suitable you are for a job. Somehow." It wasn't like Cara had ever done one of these. On either side of the table. Don't ask about the school's hiring practices.

They were moose based.

"So, uh, were gonna... roleplay! Yeah!" Magnus said. "One of you is the boss and the other is a prospective employee."

"So convince them you're the right person for the job. By punching."

"Maybe try your charisma first, but if that fails..." Punch city.

Did you guys honestly expect anything else from this class?

Any students making it to the classroom that day would find it completely empty, the teacher nowhere to be found, even well past the fifteen-minute rule grace period.

Was it because this was some kind of test? Were there totally cameras lurking in the corners to moniter exactly what they would do in a way that would likely be used against them at a later date? Was Rosa going to bust out something at the last second and launch into some lecture about surprises and sudden attacks?

Or was Rosa just currently a seven year old girl right now who didn't realize she even had a class she was supposed to teach that morning, much less one with a bad word in it!?

Who knew? Only time would tell.

"So the...voice in the house...told us we teach a class on Fridays," the extremely small blond boy in the front of class said, sounding dubious.

"But it's on politics and that's boring," the darker haired boy chimed in. "So, we're gonna show you how to build a robot instead."

It was possible this wasn't Steve's idea.

"We're what?!" Steve said. "You know how to do that?!"

"If you get the parts it's not hard," Tony said brightly. "I know how to use the soldering gun too."

Tony, no.

Tony, NO.

Unfortunately, Tony was telling this to Steve Rogers, 1930s Kid. "OOOH. Do you work at the docks?"

Labor laws, schlabor laws.

"No?" Tony replied slowly. Because of that vast divide in their childhoods."Yachting is boring."

Which also explained why Steve sounded like an extra from Newsies Get Yer Papers Here. "Right," Steve said, looking just as confused. "Robots. Make some robots! It'll be swell!"

Thankfully for you all, JARVIS had provided robotics kits. Because Tony was already taking a computer apart due to lack of adult supervision.

Hannibal met everyone this week in a medieval manor house, and passed out anachronistic electronic tablets with the instructions.

"This week, we are making Caudel out of Lent and fried crackers. You'll see the original recipes and translations here. You'll also have a number of period food colorings, if you choose to use them. There is a rich history of coloring food in every hue of the rainbow at the time these dishes were from."

He waved them at the period stoves. "Let me know if you have any questions."
