Phys Ed, Thursday, Per 2
Thursday, November 7th, 2019 02:33 am"Phys ed isn't just about helping students get regular exercise and fitness," Verity said, resolutely ignoring how often the Danger Shop had prevented them from doing just that. "It's also an opportunity to learn about other sports and activities you might not have had a chance to discover yet. Whether it's the incredibly weird sport pickleball or the equally weird sport of curling, gym class lets you learn and experiment with plenty of different options in the hopes that you might find something that suits you."
Or that they might find something that the Danger Shop lets them demonstrate. Either/or at this point.
"We're not going too weird this week," Liam said, with a resigned sort of air that indicated he knew that the Danger Shop was absolutely going to find a way to make it weird. "Since winter is fast approaching we thought we'd give you the chance to try out one of the more popular classic winter sports, especially for the adrenaline junkies out there," not that there were any of those in this class, surely. "Skiing."
Certainly not! That would be like suggesting it was taught by a pair of adrenaline junkies! Absurd!
"We've programmed in--" Yes, that was a resigned sigh "--a number of different slops, from the bunny trail for people who've never even seen a ski before to a couple of different Black Diamonds for folks who have been skiing since before they could walk. Once we start the sim, you should be all kitted up in snowgear and skis. So you can just just hop to whatever trail you feel most comfortable with. I'll be keeping an eye out on the folks who are on the more difficult trails."
"For those of you who are a little newer to skiing, I'll meet you over by the bunny slopes," Liam said. Not that he'd ever actually been skiing himself, but he had memories of other people doing so, so that was basically the same, right?
You know, assuming they managed to do any skiing at all, as opposed to more wrestling gummy bears or whatever.
