Weapons 101; Tuesday, First Period (Daytime) [07/09].
Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 05:51 am"'Morning, class," Amaya greeted the students with a nod and a faint smile, as they gathered in the Danger Shop on a scene that Rosa had described as 'Ren Faire bullshit,' which then only inspired her to insist that she was dragging Amaya to Ren Faire one of these days because that shit would be hilarious. Either way, it was a bright and sunny forest clearing, which felt like a particularly welcome change of pace already, with a shooting range off to the side, all done up with bright colored banners, flags, and pendants. Amaya was flanked by a couple of racks of weapons, and one table in front of her with some for demonstration, and then she got started.
"Hope you're all taking care of yourselves, it looks like we're in for another interesting week, but the nice thing is, today we're learning yet another way to potentially defend yourself, and this one allows for distance, so you don't even have to get too close to your enemy. In fact, you're better off not being close. Today, we're talking bows."
( Shot through the heart. )
"That just about covers the basics," Amaya grinned faintly. "If there's any questions, though, let's have 'em, and then we're going to get to work. First, before we get to the fun part, I'm going to teach you all how to actually string a bow, because a bow's not much good if you've gone and snapped a string or worn it down and can't replace it with a new one. Then it's off to Detective Diaz, where she'll go over nocking, aiming, and shooting at the targets we've got set up over there, and I'm sure, by the end of the class, if you're not an expert already, you will be!
"Or," she added, chuckling faintly, "at the very least, since we're in the Danger Shop, if you're not an expert by the end of class, at least you'll not have lost an eye."
[[ ocdon the way is up! I am so late lol ]]
