"Good morning, everyone!" Summer greeted the class in her usual brightly maniacle way, for another great class of horrible food crimes. "I don't know how you're all feeling, but it's nice to have some good, decent, normal food on the island again, isn't it? I mean, we're still going to be pretty much making things out of the worst things ever, but it's nice having options, isn't it?

"Anyway, I was talking with my cat yesterday," and she was delighted with how literal that was, yes, especially since Pancakes did not at all seem to have any qualms about being spayed, unlike her last pet that had gain verbal communication skills, "about what we could do in class today, and she made it very clear that I should, under no circumstances, bastardize and ruin tuna for her."

Pause.

"So of course we're going to bastardize and ruin tuna for her. It's as good a time as any to pull out the old Pirate's Pie, so named, I think, because it'll make anyone it's served to voluntarily walk the plank. Let's get started!"

Today, class was back in the school rather than the woods. And there was only one teacher rather than the two.

"So, easy day for you kids," Tony said, queuing up a movie. "Captain Rogers had things to take care of on the mainland now that things are back to normal. Well. As normal as this place gets."

Which was debatable.

"And, judging by how this summer is going, learning to survive in space might be good for you."

He might have just jinxed the island.

Oops?

Miguel was relieved this week was more or less normal, and it showed in his smile as he welcomed the kids to the Danger Shop.

"Right. Everybody seems to have survived last week, and there's nothing apocalyptic out there now, so we're back to having fun with science! Last week there was a bomb in the park - explosives have been around for a long time in one form or another, and some of them can get pretty deadly."

He paused. "No, we're not building bombs. But we are using explosives. This room has safeties, so we're working with this stuff while it's relatively normal. One of the more fun aspects of them is fireworks. Basically, they're ways of making exploding things fun - colors, patterns, and so forth."

He held up a tablet with information on making all kinds of fireworks. Pick a type or two. Or three. However many you think you can get done. If you have questions about getting a specific color or something, just let me know."
