The Gladiators would come into the Danger Shop that day to find the area focused around a large foam pyramid, so if anyone was wondering what they might be doing for this week's challenge, Rosa might let you skip wearing the helmet this week because there was clearly nothing up there that needed to be protected.

"Alright, Gladiators," she nodded once they all seemed settled, "this is the Pyramid. The goal is simple: get to the top. But, of course, it won't be that simple. Two of you have been chosen to defend the top of the pyramid. Do whatever it takes to make sure the other gladitors don't reach the top. Lilac, Crap Horse," oh, look, it's evolved! Thanks, Nightmare!, "since one of you had the most knock-offs last week and the other somehow miraculously managed to stay on his platform the whole time, you get to be the defenders. We'll be going in rounds in pairs of two; the first one to the top gets the chance to compete again for ultimate champion, which...might give you an advantage next week.

"Any questions? If not, let's gear up and get going. Lilac and Crap Horse, head on up and get ready to defend the territory; the rest of you, get limber, get stretched, and get ready."

Recreational Misuse and Alternative Uses of Gadgets, Friday

"The Instant Pot!" Vanessa said to open this week's class. There were jazz fingers. "It's an amazingly magical all-in-one kitchen appliance that you can use to make things like--" Hold on, she had to consult her phone, because it wasn't like she could actually cook or owned one of these things. "Um. Tea?" Vanessa looked at the gadget on the table in front of her dubiously. "Okay, sure, whatever, you can use it to make tea."

"Because you might not have a microwave to boil the water," Wade added. Just to piss off Britain. Yep. "Which cuts down on a lot of cooking, honestly."

Vanessa was looking at her phone again. "Allegedly you can also use it to make wine, but, you're teenagers so you don't need to know how to do that." Although it meant this property of the school Instant Pot was totally coming home with her and Wade.

"Like. Prison wine?" This was the conversation the class wanted to hear, right?

"Yeah, but you can make it in forty-eight hours." Vanessa sounded genuinely excited about this. "Anyway, enough about my weekend plans. The question is, what will you do with an Instant Pot?"

"Toss it at a dinosaur," Wade suggested. Which was just what the class wanted, right?

"Or make soup for a dinosaur," Vanessa suggested. "Or...tea, apparently. Or make soup out of a dinosaur? Whatever. Figure out how to use an Instant Pot against a dinosaur. That's your assignment."
