A New You, Tuesday, Period Two
Tuesday, March 26th, 2019 07:03 amCongratulations, class! You have made it to yet another fun-filled locale in Fjord's disaster class of wonders!
Yes. Yes, you were on a large sailing ship. Currently everything was paused, but hell, given the lively (if frozen) state of the crew and the way the blue-skinned elf-looking ship's captain was frozen in the rigging, looking out toward the sea with a grin on his face, things were just waiting to come roaring to life any moment now.
Fjord, with a rabbit tucked (rather protectively) under one arm, was standing at the ship's bow, looking down at the class, smiling. Hell, he should have set this whole damn thing on the water from the get-go and... kept the rogue out of trouble, mostly.
"Welcome to the Joyswimmer's Dance," he said, nodding toward the ship around him. "Last week, Seros had himself a chat with her captain, and secured you all room and board, a decent living wage, and free passge to anywhere along her travel route when your contract is through, all for the low, low price of joining the crew and helping to protect the ship from pirates along the way. She's a cargo ship, you see, which means she's extra enticing to those people on the open sea who are looking to line their pockets with the spoils looted from the belly of a lone ship with inferior firepower. So, how about you all take a look around? Talk to the captain and the crew, get to know the ship. It's going to be our setting for at least a few classes, I'm sure."
He snapped his hands and the scene roared to life; roiling waves, gulls wheeling in the sky overhead, and the ship's crew beginning to step in time across the ship's deck to a... swell of music.
"Pour, oh pour the pirate sherry, Fill, oh fill the pirate glass!"
Fjord blinked.
"The hell...?"
