"This week, we have a guest who visited the last class," Mitsutada started. "He was a sword of Souji Okita, captain of the First Unit of the Shinsengumi, whom we have been learning about these past weeks. I'm sure he is eager to tell you all about his former master."

"Actually, can we skip all that?" the guest, a man with red eyes and an outfit to match, said. Mitsutada looked a little shocked, to which the man shrugged. "I'm not one to go on and on about Okita, and Yasusada will be coming next week. He'll talk all about Okita. Besides, you're coming off a break, no one wants to put in hard learning right after a break."

"...at least introduce yourself?" Mitsutada said, with a sheepish smile of 'this has gotten away from me'.

"Ah, yes," the man said. "I am Kashuu Kiyomitsu. The child beneath the river, the child of the river banks, I suppose. I may be hard to handle but my ability is top notch. I am always looking for people who can use me well, shower me with affection, and dress me beautifully."

"And did you have an idea what you thought my class might like to do instead?" Mitsutada said.

"I do," Kashuu replied with a nonchalant shrug. He produced several bottles of nail polish from a pocket, and passed them out to the class. "Instead, I will be teaching you one of my techniques for making sure I am cute for our Saniwa. Appearances are important, or at least style is, wouldn't you say, Shokudaikiri?"

"I'm not one for painting nails," Mitsutada said, raising his own gloved hands as he shrugged.

"Well then, you can sit there and think about vegetables, then," Kashuu said. "And I'll teach your class."

Which he proceeded to do, going over the basic techniques of painting one's nails, but showing deft and careful ability to do so - he applied new coatings of red polish perfectly on his own nails.

It certainly wasn't the class anyone was expecting.

Hera wasn't entirely sure about their plans for this week now that Kanan was furrier than usual.

Fortunately, there was a ready-made excuse today.

She sent a text to everybody in the class: Today you can make a difference by attending the carnival, helping out, and supporting your school. See you next week!

There was movie already queued up to play when the class arrived. Because your teachers were well aware that this weekend was going to be a thing for everyone.

"I hope you all had a good break," Tony said with a smile. "Ancient Greece aside."

Steve nodded. "Today we're watching a classic movie about civic duty, starring one of America's great film stars, Jimmy Stewart. You probably know him from that Christmas movie that comes on every year."

"And probably ignore whenever it comes on," Tony added with a little cough. "But we know you're probably more eager to get to the carnival than to learn to day, we thought we'd do our best to keep your attention with this."

"Jimmy Stewart was a swell guy," Steve added, "and this movie is heartwarming and shows you how one voice can make a difference."

Especially if that voice is a Senator who doesn't just lament about how terrible things are and then vote with his party anyhow. Jeff Flake, you have deeply disappointed Captain America.

"We also brought popcorn," Tony said. "And links to a few websites where you can volunteer to help with early voting if you want the extra credit."

Paris.
