intotheoutTip had been planning to spend two weeks at home before coming back for the summer sessions. But then J.Lo had insisted on a "quick trip" to New Boovworld which, as always, ended up with them getting shot at. It'd been quite the close shave.
Literally.
The gun had taken a stripe right out of the middle of Tip's hair, giving her something of a reverse mohawk. So when they'd gotten back home, Tip had gone to the store to pick up a pair of clippers and take off the rest of it. Tip loved how it looked, personally, and J.Lo had been fascinated, but while Tip's mom had made all the right supportive noises, she still kept averting her eyes for a moment whenever Tip walked into a room.
So Tip had come back to Fandom early. And behind the desk at the library, like she was every Monday. Sending blog posts and articles home about the politics of black hair.
