"So, uh, I guess there's some kind of holiday this weekend?" Kanan looked faintly perplexed. Earth certainly did seem to like its holidays. "Or, I guess, one long rolling holiday in Japan, that place we went before to watch the kenjutsu, all centered around the blossoming of flowers."

Nobody tell him about Easter.

"Specifically, the sakura, or cherry blossom," Hannibal said. "This is a festival called Hanami, celebrated when they are in peak bloom; it begins in the south in March and rolls northward across the country until around early May. It's traditional to visit parks, sit under the trees, and enjoy a picnic."

"This week," Brian announced, "I have programmed a course into the GPS in your car. That'll be the little voice telling you when to turn. Listen to the little voice. If you get lost it'll have to reroute, and there is nothing more annoying in the world than, 'Rerouting...rerouting...' This is not a race." Was he feeling okay? "Just get the feel for how the GPS works and become more familiar with driving on the streets with other cars. None of them are real, of course, but you shouldn't run into them anyway. I'll meet you at the end of the course."

"Whether it's your immediate boss nitpicking your choices, your larger boss keeping too much distance, or your organization as a whole being distrusted, it can get very frustrating doing the same thing day after day."'

"There are options, of course. One could move on to another job, but that leads to a certain amount of uncertainty," Obi-Wan said. "And if one does not enjoy that sort of thing, handling the situation is rather more important."

Anakin nodded. "We have spent the semester learning about diplomacy, after all, and diplomats hate to just quit." Even if their chancellor was actively undermining them. Cough.

"So we would like to roundtable this matter today," Obi-Wan said. "If you feel uncared for - if any of these possibilities Anakin described have occurred to you - what do you do?"
