Today the Danger Shop opened into a small antechamber with a number of doors leading off.

Bond nodded a greeting. "Good afternoon, not I had something special planned for our final class together." There had been sharks involved. "But due to unforeseen circumstances I had to change things at the last moment.

"So instead, you'll be revising your choice of the previous weeks' activities." Which, yes, included the movie for those so inclined. "The doors lead into each week from left to right."

"So," Kanan looked fairly casual as he leaned back against the wall of the Danger Shop, "I guess we're done here? That was quick and relatively painless."

Relatively. It could probably have been worse. He'd come up with some way how if you gave him enough time.

"I'm going to keep this week's lecture short, mostly so we can actually work. Over the past few weeks, we've talked a lot about keeping your head down, avoiding notice, being ready to run and start over somewhere else if need be. Over the past few weeks, I've learned that some of you would much rather fight than run. Hell, the time I asked you to list the most important thing to grab before taking off, only one of you decided that money was more important than a gun or some other weapon." Yes, Merrill, he was counting your staff as a weapon. "So, this week, I'm going to let you all blow off some steam."

The room flickered and shifted, and then they were all standing in a deep, swampy forest. Off in the distance, something made a noise, not quite a roar, not quite a scream, but it was definitely something hungry.

At the students' feet, there was a pile of sharpened sticks, that bounced and jittered every time that roaring something took a step. Through the trees, something massive was visibly approaching, easily as tall as any of the buildings in town, and looking a little bit like the most unpleasant possible cross between a bear and a potato.

"This week, you're going to survive a rancor, however you possibly can. Only rule is 'no outside weapons.' Go nuts."

Yeah, class, your teacher was an asshole.

Today, the Danger Shop was bathed in so much black light and neon it was like the unholy lovechild of a Lisa Frank trapperkeeper and a tanning bed. That, or--laser tag!

Guess which one it was, kids.

"Hey," Hardison said, stepping out in front of the class with his super-cool wraparound eye protection and his laser-tag gear on, which included a pair of boots wired into the pack. "It's our last day of class, an' we're gonna have it in style. We're playin' capture the flag today, with a red team an' a blue team. When a laser hits your chest plate, you freeze up an' can't move for thirty seconds an' your laser won't work, either. Which gives the other team a chance to run an' grab your flag. Your job is to defend your own flag an' capture the other team's by the end of the class. See if you got what it takes!"

He went into a quick demonstration of how the gear worked, including the necessary warnings about not getting the lasers into anyone's eyes and then let them suit up. The lasers were built into the palms of their gloves, so that they worked like superhero blasts.

Someone had been looking up clips of Iron Man over the weekend, okay? Shut up, the tech was pretty cool.
