Cara led her class over the causeway again this week, but not to an inn or tavern...not least because she hadn't een able to find it. Instead they were in the town square, or what passed for one.

"Even though it's been a few days, I doubt any of you want to think too hard about the weekend, so today you're going to learn the valuable skill of not thinking about it. So go, explore, find something to distract yourselves with." She made a little shoo-ing gesture. They'd thank here when they were older and needed to repress things.

"Today we're going to have a little chat that I like to call..." Fred started to say. And even though this was going to be a movie day and discussion class today, it would be immediately obvious why it was taking place in the Danger Shop. He threw a pair of boomerangs through the air and in sparkly letters, the words 'SUPERVILLAINY IN REAL LIFE.'

"Anyone here watch The Bachelorette? If not, that's your homework for the rest of the session. There's this guy, Chad. Total asshole. Does pullups on architecture with a suitcase full of stuff strapped to himself. Has to do a fake proposal to JoJo and calls her naggy during it. Calls out everyone for not being real men and playing all the stupid games the show is based on and then ends the episode playing games better than all of them while shoveling lunch meat in his face and getting himself a rose. The guy is my hero on the show. I mean, he's clearly a massive dick who's gonna last until he punches someone because the producers like drama and then on the reunion show people will dedicate a segment to calling him an asshole. But the guy turned 'I just want to get to know her first' into a heel move. Game respects game. He is a supervillain. Let's watch him be a massive tool now." The lights dimmed and this pat Monday's episode started to play.

The class met up in the Danger Shop today. Obi-Wan, at the front of the large and abnormally-for-Fandom spacious living room, seemed mildly nonplussed. "I am told," he said slowly, "That every once in a while, the island loses its mind in a particularly spectacular fashion."

"Worse than the 20 year reunion," Ben said, nodding slowly. "One weekend every year or so, many of us wake up and decide that we are living out life in a strange version of this island where there's a black market for buying sushi and I'm heir to a diamond mine fortune."

"... A diamond mine fortune?"

Someone had not fully filled Obi-Wan in on... everything. Or maybe they had, and he'd repressed it.

Ben laughed. "You've never heard about the Skywalker Fortune?" he teased. "We have this whole weird rivalry with the Winchesters. Granddad gets shot at least once a weekend, and Jaina gets married."

"I'm not going to dignify that with an answer," Obi-Wan decided. "So on this weekend, you may believe you are related to people you have never met... or your relationship to your actual relatives may be, ah, different. We thought we would give you the opportunity to... practice."

By throwing random soap opera situations at people. That'd go well.

"It'll be fun," Ben added helpfully.
